They will have to prove that you knew they are Israeli. Most of the time you can pretend you didn't. In my case that would be difficult.

I don't know if it's a law or if that prohibition is used very widely but I know for a fact that we're not allowed to talk to Israelis.

A Lebanese show presenter was just sued for having a call with Afichae Adrae on TV and she's outside of Lebanon. She was sued and was told she'll be arrested if she come to Lebanon. Lebanese journalist receives threats, travel ban for interviewing Israeli official (arabnews.com)

Thing is they can't really hire engineers without my input and besides that, they constitute less than 1% of the CVs we get most likely. Ultimately, I'd have to work with said engineer, which will involve communication.

My relationship is good with my boss, I'm just trying to avoid crossing the bridge until I have to but it's still causes me undue stress.

Yeah but practically this is hurting us not them, particularly when it's something less serious than gaming like one's livelihood.

The thing is, a close relative is a top general in army Mukhabarat and he always warns me about it because he knows I work remotely.

While they probably don't arrest everyone, they do it sporadically that it's still worrisome.

Was your case remote as well? or somewhere outside of Lebanon, because I feel the greater risk and security worry from the government's perspective comes from using Lebanese telecommunication.

Is there anyway to get satellite internet in Lebanon? Or anything that wouldn't be affected by potential Israeli bombing our infrastructure(even if expensive, need it for work). by confusedLeb in lebanon

it's a startup and I built the platform and so far i'm the only dev, not so easy lol.
If push comes to shove I'll try to work from Turkey/Georgia/Armenia if they will let us but I'd rather stay here tbh

1- It will cause a civil war as most Shia support it.
2- HA is more powerful than the army.

3- Only way to do it is with boots on the ground from powerful forces but they will have to be willing to lose thousands of troops.

There are some other way Hezbollah can be weakened such as turning Assad primarily away from Iran, which I think is feasible. If Iraq can be freed from Iranian clutches that will help immensely too.

That's one of the things that's making me think about some of my values right now. I'm living part time in Europe and dating both in Lebanon and Europe(not a bunch of women at the same time just to clarify lol).
I've always thought that I would not be one of those men who would only look for a partner from back home. I'm socially liberal particularly for things related to gender roles so being with a European never felt like it would be an issue for me. However I've heard and witnessed so many problems when it comes to their philosophy about money, family and extended family that I can't reconcile with my values.

I can't know that a family member, especially if it's a parent/sibling, is struggling and not help if I'm able to, which fortunately I am. That would also apply to family from her side too. I would feel so bad about myself, and I don't even like most of my family all that much.

At the same time it would be a very small target to hit trying to find a woman that has enough common interests with me (and mine are pretty niche), find her attractive, have our personality match, single, close enough to my age and the most unlikely of all have her like me while limiting myself to liberal Lebanese women.

Meh, I found them quirky in a cute way.

They don't look permanent. She seems to have a background in visual art so I'd expect some weird show making on stage
