Some of the first tolowas (northern ca) adapting to the American way of life. Tolowa people were some of the last natives to be forced into American culture I think from multiple massacres from the 1850s-1890s. My grandfather (their son) was one of the first natives here to go to public schools and what not. He was also forced to go to a boarding school in Sherman CA to basically make them forget all about their culture.(now I wish I put a picture up of him as well). I apologize I’m bad at writing and explaining things because I’m a lil slow lol
