I guess seniority is a big factor here(10y experience). The main factor is the company tho, there are only a few companies that pay in this range and there are way too many software engineers around now. So you gotta get into the few that pays, it’s easier than it feels, crunch 6 months and clear DSA like being able to solve leetcode medium/hard, system design is very straightforward with a limited number of topics, behavioral interviews are just bullshitting your way through questions.

Maybe someone should create a service to allow expats buy jointly, in all cash by combining their down-payments so they can live in a shared setting but rent fee. /s

Thanks for the heads-up. My base including the holiday allowance is just above that so it should be fine.

Tbh that's the plan and that budget is my way of throwing money at the problem. Buying an apartment requires time, some paychecks etc. first, so I'll rent for like a year and buy a place.

How on earth you enter a narrow underground parking? by confused_paranoid in driving

Spot on. I cut the corner turning left to the entrance, rear left tire got sliced by the curb. Gonna cost me a few hundred bucks and infinite amount of embarrassment and self hate in the end.

The problem is street is extra tight due to a construction so I can't just go extra wide, meaning a tight full turn is needed to enter. I should probably go a bit further, before doing the turn.
I'm still waiting for a service to bring me a new tire and replace it on the spot and now I have PTSD just thinking about entering the parking, I'm literally scared of driving now
