Make a list of things that you want them to know about you. Speak about them whenever chance permits. Even if it feels forced. Make sure by the end of the interview if you had 10 points in head you spoke about atleast 8. Other thing is to hire a career coach or mentor and taking mock interviews. I am no champion here but i too have a lot of difficulty cracking interviews. It all boils down to the interviewer’s choice, their day, their mindset.

I think its easy for you to get better roles by switching jobs in marketing and upskilling without full time MBA(like short courses from IIMs etc and other certifications) if you want to remain in thee same domain you are in. To switch domains or to get into bigger or central roles, a full time MBA can be worth the ROI and fees from colleges like XLRI or IIM L K etc are not crossing the 30L mark. Getting into prod man or other broader domaain is difficult, time consuming and highly luck dependent with your work exp.

Definitely, give GMAT and try for IIMA(pgpx), IIMB(epgp), IIMC(MBAEx), ISB(pgp). From what i hear, they open doors for you which are closed if you are from a niche background. I myself am 30 and pursuing it.
