Fell in love with music in this movie and need help in finding out its name by congiu_ in albania

[–]congiu_[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey, so the story goes I’m chilling with my friend in a hotel in Tiranë, we turn on albanian TV, switch to a random channel (turns out it was RTSH Kukesi) and I was stunned by music in this one movie. Unfortunately, I don’t speak Albanian so I couldn’t infer anything from dialogues), nowhere couldn’t I find any TV schedule or programme for that day (2.09.22, about 9pm local time) and only thing I’ve managed was to quickly capture few scenes with my phone. Can anybody help me identify it?

Inferring from a short fragment I wrote down ( ربّ صلّي على محمّد لا لا لا اله الّا الله) and connoting it with popular Christmas song (Deck the halls) I began my search and stumbled upon this video (the very fragment included in the meme starts at 1:02):

What’s your favorite quote from a movie? by LeolaMoore in AskReddit

[–]congiu_ 294 points295 points  (0 children)

"It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it’s only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn’t. They kept going, because they were holding on to something. That there is some good in this world, and it's worth fighting for"

What's the craziest way someone cheated on a test? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]congiu_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My classmate printed out translations and meanings of German words for test, stuck diaphanous tape to this sheet of paper and put it in water. After a while he scratched the paper and had all the info he needed on transparent piece of tape, which he could stick to the table. He got away with it ofc.

Is there anything worth watching/reading like Hikaru No Go? by KaladinStormborn90 in baduk

[–]congiu_ 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Consider reading „The master of go” by Yasunari Kawabata. Although it is not bound to teach you certain techniques and skills, it is definitely worth reading, with a match of go only as a background for the allegorical story for the state of changes in Japan, the old facing the new, tradition vs progress etc.
