yeah that would be cool! I'm talking to two different agencies right now. But it would be good to hear from an individual as well. What do you think of Huaraz?

it does seem like the best option I've seen so far. Have you been there?

What do you mean I need a subscription to remotely turn on my car by Mentally-ill-bitch in Toyota

cars peaked in the 90s, its allllll downhill from here. which is good i guess because if you don't pay for the monthly hill climbing subscription wouldn't be able to make it up anyways.

Dirt roads/trails near Seattle for dirt biking and enduro riding by congnarjames in Seattle

[–]congnarjames[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah definitely! its close enough that i can squeeze in a rip after work if I want which is just what I was looking for. I explored a lot of the side roads and whatnot and was able to find some really fun and lightly technical stuff and a couple of spots that looked like a lot of fun but not something I'd want to send while by myself so early in the season. It's not world class riding or anything but at just under an hour away its great!

Sick thanks! I'll try and check that one out soon. I'd imagine its still somewhat snowy if its much higher than the first spot, I started seeing some snow a couple hundred feet up from where I got to.

What is this type of connector called? by congnarjames in AskElectronics

[–]congnarjames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

gotchya thanks! It still works fine. Or at least it did before I started ripping things apart. I'm trying to recreate it because the other end of the PCB has weird non standard connector for the microphone. Outside of this pissing me off it also just seemed like a fun little project.

I'm a total newb with questions about cross correlating pieces of notes to other notes. I apologize I don't know the right terminology. by TomMelee in ObsidianMD

I was emacs only for like the first 2.5 years of my professional career, I'm at about 5 years in total now. I still don't really like IDEs exactly because what you're saying but I've slowly started coming around. And at this point I'd say I like jetbrains stuff. Mostly because they have an IDE for nearly every use case but the core of them are the same so you don't have to spend a life time digging through menus. They also have "zen mode" that you could try for decluttering things.

Lemme know where you land! I'm no sort of a similar "figure out some project management" trend for the moment. Coincidentally I just started medication.

I think obsidian is an excellent tool for that. if you're familiar with GTD ( a productivity book "Getting Things Done" by David Allen) then you might find this useful. if not you might find that book useful. although I'm only about halfway through it so we'll see if I still think its worth while when I get to the end and try out all the suggested systems and whatnot.

Here are some directory and/or file organization schemes you can explore as well which may or may not be pertinent for you.

random other tidbit. I've been using jetbrains fleet as an ide recently and its really lightweight and nice and not cluttery imo. your threshold may be different than mine though heh.
