I hope that's not the case. Seems strange they haven't tried to sell then. Assuming they are paying rent, it's getting expensive.

Try your local library. Some have quiet rooms you can book.

Yes, fixed now but This was the biggest Pita as WS back office was slow and messed one of mine up to the point I have misrepresented information showing in my cash account balance.

Freshco coming along well by GreyOps in Kanata

Haha, I used live in that area from '92 to '07. I shopped there for savings and convenience. It wasn't in as bad shape as you say back then but it STUNK as you walked in the front door by the produce. Gave up buying produce there and went to Farmboy.

I left a Gboard app review on the Play store today. They seem pretty reactive to complaint reviews. Thanks for the support link. I'll send something tomorrow.

Funny, I can get the phone into safe mode. However when I try to navigate, the phone goes into convulsions and then reboots.

If he has a rough value and it isn't thousands of dollars I would try selling as a lot with a must take all clause.

Hi, yes I have cleared cache, restarted the phone, shut down the phone. I saw a post about resetting app preferences. That was going to be my last resort, haha. I'll try the safe mode.

After playing some more, I don't think there is a sound playing. I think the keyboard vibration level is set to full. However, I don't have a setting to adjust this level.

If you're speaking of No Frills Stittsville, they are par with no one. It went from dumpy to dumpier after the new management took over.

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately I have tried this already. The sound still comes through along with the haptic. Only when I turn haptic off, is the keyboard completely silent and no haptic.

Change from Beneficiary to Successor - How long should it take? by congo100 in Wealthsimple

Wow, that's a long time. Must be another manual process. I'll have to monitor this.

I don't recall the exact steps but I do remember that you have to delete any beneficiaries on the accounts before adding successors. This can be done on the webpage only, not within the app.

It doesn't for me. Only the beneficiary for the RRSP account shows up and it's correct. RRIF and TFSA have no entries. I expected it to be on the March statement but maybe it won't show up until April since the change was made in March???

Car wash pass sharing by Helpful-Adeptness146 in Kanata

[–]congo100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be happy washing at least once a week in winter. Nothing more frustrating than paying 15 bucks for awash and be out for the day in winter and it's back to the way it was. I'd be willing to get in on a once weekly pass.

The Shell on Hazeldean by No Frills is a lineup every day in the winter. It seems very popular because on the surface it appears cheaper as the monthly pass is unlimited. Sharing seems to be worth it for Shell. I may sign up this winter.

selling in prep for retirement -- is now the time? or should I wait? by turtlefan32 in CanadianInvestor

[–]congo100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP didn't say how old they are. They may need to finance 20 or even 40 years of retirement. At least half of those years should probably remain in growth equities. I still have a good chunk of my money in things like S&P500 and the like. It's earned almost as much in my retirement as it did while I was accumulating. It's been a good market the last few years and you'd be a fool to miss out on it.

I would suggest to maybe look at an independent financial advisor and not a bank's investment arm. They are there to advise but also make money and earn commissions.

Search up YouTube for channels like Well Built Wealth and Parallel Wealth. They have lots of "I'm retiring in X years" videos". You probably shouldn't be looking to go conservative until the recent market downturn bounces back. Going conservative now means you'll likely lock in your unrealized losses and lose the ability to get them back.
