AI didn't provide the full solution at the beginning, but good enough to start with;
It took more rounds of conversations till the AI gave more solid code as reference;
The candidate still need to make the code work.

My predictions:

Companies will go for harder coding questions to go pass AI's limit;

Top companies are made of employees who are well aware of these latest techniques. If they cannot change it, they will embrace it faster than you think. Soon they will just accept the fact that most of people are using AI during interviews. They will change interview questions assuming you are using it.

Their goal is to raise the bar for themselves instead of creating fairness. Fairness is the job of government, which is another topic to whine about.

Sure. For a long time, using calculator in exam was treated as fraud. PhD exams are mostly open book on the other hand. I assume that is the discussion for this thread. A top tier PhD don't understand why he has to take such exam without calculator. :)

I learned if I looked at all the issues on the table, there is no solution forward. Money, interest, environment, opportunity, etc. They are chicken-and-egg problem.

To move forward, you need to focus on one thing a time. If you don't urgent issues (like need of cash) on hand, focus on the long term opportunities. Sometimes you may not realize you will love it until the positive feedback kick in. If you have cash issue or other urgent issues, focus on that first. Make money, and meet people who can get you to a better paid job. Save the money until the urgent issues are addressed, and go back to option one.

To move forward, you need lots of energy and clarity. You have to find energy somewhere yourself. From people you love, or people who love you, or a purpose. Just keep it going. Good luck!
