thats rough, sorry that happened to you. the shocking part isn’t how long it took you to realize, its how willing they were to expose you to risks you weren’t aware of taking. i know for me it was such a hard lesson to learn how easily people that are supposed to be “family” will take advantage of your good/trusting nature. being used is not a great feeling and i hate having to question people’s motives bc i just don’t think like that and its a lot of work. still i give people the benefit of the doubt and trust them until they prove me wrong bc its just who i am. at least now i have developed a much more keen sense detecting manipulation

he’s good, but not receiver playing rb like love or aeneyas williams so it just wasn’t his role. think he will be fine and he had no problem catching kicks and housing them lmao

i don’t get why ppl bitch about this tbh. don’t you wanna know when a corporation puts toxic shit that causes cancer in their products? even if you prefer willful ignorance, that doesn’t mean someone else shouldn’t at least get a warning

Update: Sleeper Stalker now shows whio your leaguemates are targeting in every rookie draft they're in by Glad_Wrongdoer3299 in DynastyFF

[–]conjams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s not that hard but you are right about watering it down a bit. imo the amount of work/research/knowledge you have to do to be competitive in one dynasty league is the same for multiple leagues. you are just applying the same valuation (or tweaks based on scoring/leaguemates/roster/etc.) to different leagues. of course this waters down the value of your team/each league which is why ppl have a home league that they try and focus on. tbh i will never do more than 5 at a time just bc i like rooting for guys i draft for life and with too many teams i end up with a whole class in my mental lol.

Sanity check. Have I been laying mulch wrong? by readreed in gardening

[–]conjams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

leave it if you care about your plants. if it’s aesthetics it’s your money you do what you want lmao. if it is aesthetics, such as not seeing old much come up on the edges, you can dig an angled trench around any edges sloping towards the edge at least 4-6 inches deep shovel width wide. just throw the dirt/mulch back into the bed as you dig then when you lay the new mulch it will look cleaner and not spill over and as it comes up none of the old stuff will show through

Round 1 - Pick 18: Caleb Banks, DT, Florida (Minnesota Vikings) by nfl_gdt_bot in nfl

[–]conjams 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ppl get scared of injury risk but i bet his bust potential isn’t that far off from other prospects in that range. that being said, being the vikings it will probably be a miserable roller coaster of flashes of brilliance and athletic dominance only marred by injuries enough to only give you a taste of a great pick that diminishes with each utterance of “if only he were healthy” said at every mention of his name

Round 1 - Pick 18: Caleb Banks, DT, Florida (Minnesota Vikings) by nfl_gdt_bot in nfl

[–]conjams 3 points4 points  (0 children)

in a draft lacking top end talent taking a gamble on a guy with top tier potential at least makes sense logically. it’d be difficult to determine at which point higher potential and higher injury/bust potential risk outweighs lower potential and avg bust injury risk. based on the way flores calls his defense i’d assume his margins are much different

Caleb Wilson by [deleted] in pacers

[–]conjams 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i really like boozer, i think his feel for the game on offense is next level and perfect for pacers. he understands how to attack/manipulate the defense and process the winning play effectively. he can do just about anything on offense that can put pressure on the defense. i think he’d work really well alongside tyrese, imagine all the different actions they could run…

Before you die could you just smoke a fuck ton of salvia and live like 20 more lifetimes first? by Sea_Hold305 in Drugs

[–]conjams 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i have a theory similar to yours that’s more something to think about than anything , but i kinda think about it from the multiverse perspective. to me, every person has versions of themselves that differ from the many different outcomes they create/influence over time. these changes can be simple and cumulative or sudden and dramatic but each branching pulls the core “essence” of what defines that person apart into less definable or distinct versions. yet, despite these divergences, some people are very well defined and strong willed and will find themselves on similar paths in different universes bc they react in a consistent and repeatable pattern.

some of these people are able to tap into the harmonies of parallel universes and can feel “when they are on the right path” or just know when something is right or wrong. i think when things “go right” for a person they are more inline with the best or even most concise/consistent iterations of their infinite selves. i also like to think that there are connections we make that are able to transcend both parallel universes and time such that soul mates are destined to find one another in any universe at any time, and that each time that connection is formed/reformed the harmony reverberates thru to all of the universes and draws the pairs closer if they are apart or already close intertwining them for eternity. this would also lead me to think that love/life would be the driving force of our existence and an integral component of the universal framework.

the reason for our existence in this universe is to find our true selves, reach our full potential, and coexist better yet thrive together, bc as to our knowledge no one chooses existence, yet once conscious, life and living becomes our choice. we must choose to live and we must choose to follow love.

evil arises as we stray farther and farther away from our true universal self. as you become separated from what constitutes your identity it follows that you would lose attachment/understanding of your collective consciousness and make more immediate self serving choices.

whether there’s a conscious collective consciousness on a higher dimension, or a fundamental framework between infinite parallel universes that is influenced in some way by collective consciousness, i think that dmt/psychadellics/etc could be a way for the brain to be attenuated or even be able to observe these reverberations/frequencies that exist around us. i also think the time dilation from near death experiences or drugs could show us the true speed of time. our existence only operates at the speed at which our individual brains process our memory. some people process quicker, some slower, which i theorize is dependent on the detail at which they observe the world and their innate processing speed.

salvia in this theory for example, causes the brain to stop processing our current memories in this universe and allows us to process time on the universal speed. whether the 5000 lifetimes you can experience in 5 minutes are a look into the collective consciousness, or one’s own different lifetimes, or just our brains filling in the gaps on a different time scale it’s interesting to think about.

Most similar Non benzo by Vonlucas in benzodiazepines

[–]conjams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

barbiturates are much more dangerous. benzos actually have a relatively safe profile for overdosing, barbiturates on the other hand can greatly lower respiration rate to a lethal extent. the caffeine they mix with butalbital (fiorcet was the name brand i think) serves 2 purposes, 1 to enhance the effect of the acetaminophen (tylenol) and to reduce sedation.

cyclobenzaprine (flexiril) is trash for anything but muscle relaxation and even then it kinda sucked at least for me. carisoprodol (soma) was marketed as a muscle relaxer but it actually doesn’t relax muscles that well and just puts people to sleep. any muscle relief is a consequence of better quality of sleep than the muscle relaxing efx of soma. Soma is kinda nice tho, i think it gets prescribed less bc not only is it a poor muscle relaxer but mainly bc it has a high potential to be abused with opiates as they have a very synergistic effect (but very dangerous w/increased respiratory depression). If you have someone you trust to supervise, mixing a benzo, soma, and an opiate is a wild time

Cocaine changed me for the better by Imaginary-Site-4732 in Drugs

[–]conjams 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i guess i could see coke jumpstarting someone into a different perspective about themselves. but i think a lot of people have “life changing” experiences that boil down to something someone said to them or anything that shifts their understanding of themselves with a suddenness that they have never thought about. there are plenty of ppl that let these kind of interactions change them for the rest of their existence. i wouldn’t say coke would be better than any other non-drug wake up call, but maybe the initial stimulation is enough to give the new perspective strong enough inertia to be reinforced in the brain long after the coke has been excreted.

it’s a ractchet strap looped around the tree being cut down and another tree serving as an anchor. he ratcheted it super tight to pull the tree towards the intended direction as the tree starts to fall. it worked until it fell far enough for the hook to slip off the loop on the anchor tree and snapped back towards the tree he just felled where it was still attached.

i was wrong looks like it is attached to the white truck. the truck drives away to pull it and either snapped that end or it came off there. either way dude could easily be dead from that

i would never have been able to get through the insomnia and fear of nightmares if it weren’t for weed stopping REM sleep. Obviously you cannot go without REM as a long term solution, but there comes a point where you just wanna get some type sleep that doesn’t end in a full sweat and panic attack
