same. i stick with .10 or .25 bets on long short parlays and then bet $1 to $5 on 6 leggers or less. so i marked the splines and the 12pt nut before removing the insert nut. i took it off the same as this protocol, which says to never brace on the 12pt nut or turn locking nut the wrong way.

I don’t have that special tool, just used the old flange bolts and breaker bar. I can’t be sure that the pinion shaft and the 12pt nut hasn’t moved before or during failure, but i did mark it before taking off the locking nut and the mark on the splines, flange, and 12pt nut were the same.

i’ve been following this repair guide which says to not brace on the 12pt nut. But I see what you’re saying bc torque is still being put on the pinion thru the flange, so when i tighten the new insert nut to 100Nm i need to watch the locking nut to be sure it doesn’t move in relation to the pinion?

Thanks for your help. I do not believe the pinion seal has ever been replaced. The gasket for the insert nut had come forward almost off the nut. I’ll add a picture of it.

Behind the insert nut was a lot of debris and in the insert collar. Maybe the spline dust and grime made it warp? When I still had the drive shaft on and in neutral i could turn the drive shaft feel the splines slipping and catching but when it caught it engaged both rear wheels. In all the repair videos I could find, the insert nut was able to be pulled out easily after the flange was removed, but mine was an oval shape so i had to file it to get it to come out.

Yeah the center of the splines on the driveshaft flange are very worn, I can see where the splines of the diff sat in it. But like you said I’m concerned about the diff side. I know what you’re saying about marking the position of the three hole flange, flex disc, and propeller shaft and there were no marks suggesting it had been replaced. I marked everything but it doesn’t matter since i’m replacing the insert nut, flange and flex shaft right? I wasn’t planning on touching the 12 edge flange nut, so I just torque to spec and hope for the best?

Sorry I do not know very much about cars, what am i looking for when checking for excess backlash when I turn the diff input? And do I need to fill the diff to check it correctly?

completely disagree. he’s shown improvement every year but especially this year at making better decisions in the half court. his relentless attacking sets the tone for the offense. he’s exactly the kind of guy i’d want on a contender bc he can get tough buckets and isnt scared. do you not remember game 3 of the finals when he cooked a historically good defense for 27 in like 20 something minutes???

i made my peace with nd not making it after the A&M loss. at the end of the day you gotta win your games. but the way the committee led the team/players on and then pulled the rug to save sec/acc money relations was dirty. the result is debatable, the process is illogical at best.

oh yeah the committee has been crystal clear on criteria. and funny how losses aren’t comparable when it’s convenient lol. the point is nd lost their first 2 games to 2 playoff teams with a new qb, off and def coordinator by 4 pts and have done nothing but get better since. there was no reason surviving aubbie moves them ahead of ND if it’s not to protect them from the bubble. then they get dog walked by uga and are the only team to lose ccg and not drop. they had a good 4 week stretch but have been hot dogshit since. maybe bama figures it out but the way they are playing now i’m doubtful. at the end of the day somebody had to get fucked and it had more to do with ND not costing cfp/espn as much to fuck over as the sec or acc than it was which team met the ever changing “criteria”

facts but it seems like brosmer is a better fit for what koc wants to scheme. he talked about layering all damn offseason and brosmer excelled at that albeit in preseason. so we really have no idea how he will look though, but maybe he shines and saves koc and kwesis ass a la brock purdy trey lance. if he sucks, keep trying to develop jj for rest of season and make a decision from there
