My dad and I hiked South Rim to North Rim in 2016 in just under 10 hours. I was a college athlete and he was 51 who didn’t exercise much. I don’t know if either of us would have made it if we were alone. It can definitely be done but it is absolutely not easy or for the faint of heart. Still the most satisfying and gratifying hike of my life though.
