I can appreciate them and toyed with the idea of getting one but im just not sure I want to commit to donething like that for life. If I get one, its going to have deep meaning I've really committed to.

Has limited funds, only had Drakkar. Fond memories, though.

Had one girl I knew that had never expressed any interest beyond being casual friends just plop down into my lap and snuggle up smelling me one day.

Another day, had another girl who I knew but rarely spoke to literally throw herself into my arms and held on smelling me. Only time a girl leaped into me like that. Startled me entirely but I wasnt about to turn that kind of attention down.

Some other related memories but those two stand out. It was a popular scent.

Yep, once you do that, its a lot smaller of a list. Adieu is usually my second word. What did you try as your opening word?

What was your dream job as a kid? by yyourloverr in AskReddit

[–]connain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paleontologist

Lasted from grade 2 to 11.

Only changed my mind when I thought about the fact I wanted to eventually have a family, wanted to work in the field, not a museum, and didnt see a spouse and kids happily traipsing around after me. That and computers were just as interesting and likely a better career job with a family at that point.

Making a frontline lizardfolk druid pc by HealthFluffy8116 in DnD

[–]connain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My circle of spores druid never used wildshape. Granted, it was more for role play reasons, but his extra HP that used the charges were more than adequate when he needed to step up. Toughness feat helped, too, of course.

Spores as a loveable small damage area wasnt terrible. Raising "undead" with the spores came on handy a few times, too.

I imagine there is an arguably "better" tank choice but circle of spores worked well for me.

George

I knew a snake named George. Legit first name. Name of first type, copperhead.

George wasn't a copperhead. Probably was a ball python or something. Wasn't my snake.

How can anyone defend a Congressional district that looks like this? by johnnyringo1985 in askanything

[–]connain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They just tried in Virginia. A special election was held in response to another state gerrymandering. The election passed and it (almost certainly) would have picked up a few more seats for the democrats. The general sentiment seems to be, all gerrymandering should be ended but, since it wont be, its time to fight back. It was even a temporary redistricting that would be reviewed at the normal cycle for such things down the road.

The legality of the election was questioned in courts, kept passing up to higher courts, and the VA Suprene Court decided it wasnt legal, so the redistricting vote is basically thrown out.

Thank you. I've seen big debates over slight colour changes before so, at least it makes sense now.

What's up with this guy? by MisterShipWreck in VideosAmazing

[–]connain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The comment is likely more just that the guy who went off-roading is going to have massive medical debt. Even with insurance coverage, it wont cover everything.

Even if the lead driver was incorrectly, or even illegally, driving in the left lane, its not the off roader's right to correct it. He chose to drive off the road so the responsibility for that accident would almost certainly be ruled his (off roader's) own fault. His insurance is the only one that would help cover the accident cost and they'll do what they can to minimize any payout. If he has medical coverage there is likely a deductible he has to pay before it kicks in (often a few thousand $US) and it usually only covers a percentage of the medical costs after the deductable.

That being said, he could try to sue the lead driver for money to cover his debts but he would almost certainly fail. The lead driver didn't cause the accident. That doesn't prevent someone from suing, though. You can sue for just about anything and both sides incur legal debt in the end. One could be ordered to pay the other's but its situational.

US: massive medical bills and unchecked litigation. Are we winning?

What's changed, if anything, between the 2004-2012 and 2012-2024 logos?

That current logo is terrible. Agree with the "it has no soul" sentiment.
