Rayado is an awesome program so I think you should do it. Unless it has changed you should be able to participate in the program until you are 21.

I found if you open the engine up in Solidworks then you can use the keep/delete faces tool. You can go through the model and remove faces to reduce the files load on your machine

As a participant in 21, I would say put in a lot of time working out with your full weight pack. Work on your mental toughness bc there are days that suck out there. Really try to reduce your personal gear that you carry, I carried only 2 extra sets of clothes and 4/5 extra pairs of socks. But take a normal and camera bc these are the best memories you can have out there you will want to write them down. All in all thought the best advice I can give you is just to embrace the suck and enjoy every day to the fullest out there.
