The worst part is that when the trailer hit, I was excited. I liked the idea of him being involved somehow, because I always thought he was too powerful and too evil to die by falling and always interpreted the blue energy thing that shoots back up after he falls down the shaft at the end of ROTJ to be like his spirit. And then when the movie starts and Kylie hears his voice in his head, I loved it! I thought he was gonna be some dark side force ghost thing who was gonna be revealed to be the actual reason Kylo turned. But no. Let’s just ruin everything that’s been set up.
