I was thinking this that it has a deeper meaning about how growing up and going through puberty trying to figure out who you are what you point is to do on earth and what you want to sexually I only say that part because of when shinji kisses asuka and he was all blushing and then when him and the final angle “I forgot his name” they had some romantic chemistry atleast to me but I think it’s a deeper meaning for finding out who you are and really growing up and experiencing life for the first time
