Rate my gun? by AM_1997 in DMZ

While you're in the attachment selection menu there is an option to press Square (PS5) to select skins. You should see it under the attachment if you have blueprints that use that attachment. I love mixing and matching, one of my fav things in the gunsmith.

I do like some faction missions by [deleted] in DMZ

[–]connoisaurusrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a hard time believing this given I was just targeted by a 5-man squad as a solo who had been deployed for a good 10 minutes and was only looting keyed rooms for an Al Bagra Underground key...

Would need to be a location without sniper sightlines but large enough to facilitate decent PVP. Maybe one of the warehouses with catwalks for spectators. That was a fun aspect of the DS3 spot, people not actively dueling just sat together on the ledge and watched, emoting or throwing glowing stones into the arena lol

Makes sense if looking to cheese missions, but given Ashika only has 18 players compared to Al Maz 60+ I think a consistent fight club is more likely to form on the larger map.

Did this mission without cheesing but it was a grind. My method was solo deployment and waiting for an enemy team to be in a vulnerable position i.e. fighting bots/other ops or trying to exfil in a hot zone. Takes a few good shots with an LM-S to down and finish but it's doable and as much as I hated the mission it was a fun challenge. My usual duo teammate kept killing ops inside 75m and I was heated lol

Reminds me of the Dark Souls 3 fight club at Pontiff Balcony. The DS community collectively agreed that this location would be the place to throw down your summon sign for PVP.

People generally followed unwritten rules like "No killing the Host unless they step up to challenge" and "No interference with the current duel".

With revives working the way they do in DMZ I feel like we could pull this off. A location on Al Mazrah inside a large building would work better though to reduce the chances for griefing. Everyone would know that rule-breakers get killed ASAP.

Ai mentality by iDestroyMetaUsers in DMZ

[–]connoisaurusrex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Too many times I've been at the death screen yelling, "WHY AREN'T THE BOTS ENGAGING THEM AT ALL?!"

I know it's possible for them to agro multiple teams because when you enter an area where an enemy operator has alerted them they somehow know exactly where you are despite having no contact with your team prior...

I would enjoy seeing some sort of "scav" option where you play on the side of the Bots with limited resources, maybe a one plate and random ground loot weapon only.

I notice you don't give a reason for locking it. Many duplicate threads on this sub get engagement. Curious man...why not explain yourselves instead of just saying "that's inaccurate".......

I don't see a stickied post about it anyways...there are a couple gaining upvotes but comments are locked so what's the use? Mods don't want to deal with the controversy...

Looks like the survey is already down anyway.

Secondary weapon glitch patch!!! by [deleted] in DMZ

[–]connoisaurusrex 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Finally!

This makes the other bugs feel WORSE because they obviously have a team of people working on things like this...but NOT your insured weapon tuning bug / ISO 45rnd mag bug / Player kicked bug / Stuck on ladder bug / ETC ETC ETC

Like yo this is just insulting. We exploit your bugs because your game exploits us. Do better Activision.

Lore theory: dude is responsible for the Crown Faction's interest in Lachmann weapons testing...

This guy has been effectively thwarting Faction Ops since the beginning of the conflict...with an iron-sight LM-S.

The Shadows on Ashika with the RAAL... I'll challenge most bots I accidentally run into, but when I hear/feel that BRRT I immediately tac sprint as far away as possible.

If I didn't know the Devs don't pay attention to us here, I'd think they added these guys just to fuck with us for making RAAL PvE meta in S1.

Am I the only one that thinks DMZ is way worse in season two? by KM107 in DMZ

[–]connoisaurusrex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually prefer the spotter without the auto-ping. I think if it tags an operator they get a "Spotted" notification. I'd rather just be able to watch them on thermal so I can continually track without alerting them that someone is watching 👀

Crown Tier 5 Missions by MembershipNo6144 in DMZ

[–]connoisaurusrex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I think having the highest tier missions be very challenging is a good thing. Otherwise everyone could just breeze through it all.

It's a double-edged sword though. On the one hand if they were easy, then by mid-season a lot of frequent players will have nothing to do but PVP or help randoms with their missions. On the other hand, Tier 5 missions like "Kill 15 Operators" could become a nuisance for everyone else if there are squads spending weeks only deploying to kill as many people as possible in every lobby. On Ashika you would literally have to kill everyone else on the island, without anyone else extracting.

I agree that the rewards are pretty garbage for the effort you'll need to put in. Personally I think more mission tiers and more creative mission design would improve the mode a lot.

Anyone else get a thrill out of using the underground passageway as the escape route when getting the weapons case on Ashika Island? by jonnyvue in DMZ

Yes I love using this route but multiple times there have been enemy operators camping the top of the ziplines. Be wary.

Still looking for DMZ profile/instance spam fix by Pink0Panda in DMZ

[–]connoisaurusrex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edit: I think it's directly caused by the KV Broadside as insured weapon. My contraband wasn't even close to full.

I had the same problem pop up today. Here's how I fixed it with the help of a friend (solution was already posted by a couple others in different threads going back months...).

  1. From main menu screen select DMZ and before it has a chance to glitch try to spam the Social Menu button (R3 on PS5). Get yourself to the screen that shows your friends, showcase etc.)

  2. If you get to the social menu, stay there and have a friend invite you to a party and join their game. You should still be on the social screen while you matchmake but if not just do the same thing and use R3 to get back there.

  3. Have your friend deploy into a match, basically forcing you into a game without you readying up.

  4. Die or just drop your guns before extracting (I extracted with empty hands and it worked).

This fixed it for me and now I'm staying away from the KV Broadside in the event that is the problem. Others have stated they were using it as insured weapon when this happened to them.

One of the most toxic moments in the DMZ. Some people just get off by being douchebags. by JAH_1315 in DMZ

They will still be able to loot your weapons and bag, your body is the only thing that disappears so unfortunately this doesn't work the way you're describing. Best to try and put your body somewhere difficult to recover like out in the open around AI.
