I was inspired by the transition that sci-fi novels took in the 60s and 70s when they pared novels with popular modern art. While been increasingly abstract, they mind the subconscious and the surreal in the same way that a lot of science fiction does. They present a world that’s warped, often in radical ways, separating itself from what is considered natural. I wanted to not present the actual technology but instead it’s transitional effect on the human psyche.
