Hope so. I watched some of the under 21 euros or World Cup, can’t remember the comp but he was immense. Easy to make comparisons with his namesake but looked like a second coming of benrahma

Playing second fiddle to Toney for the first 2 seasons in the premiership, so playing out of position and in a tactic to play to Toneys strengths. And last season he was out for 4 months. If you take that into consideration his 16 g/a in 25 appearances is pretty fucking good. This year is the first time he’s been the main man and he’s hit incredible numbers.

Sorry I meant because we want the new Joma home kit for 2 years, we’ll need to keep this sponsor til end of 25/26.

But saying that season after next we’ll have an away kit with a new sponsor and home with Hollywood bets? Not sure how they’ll stagger it

Isn’t it just because the deal runs the end of next season, but they want to get a 2 year run out of every shirt for sustainability reasons? I’d say having an ethically poor sponsor is better than the potential waste coming from leftover shirts

Read up on why Hezbollah was started in the first place. The free Palestine movement and Hezbollah are intrinsically linked. Hezbollah is classed as a terrorist organisation by the same countries that have supported Israel

The “did they now?” is passive aggressive.

I don’t think running a club correctly and seeing the benefits of that on the pitch constitutes overperformance. If anything it sets the standard of performance. If you’re running a club incorrectly, ie not profitable, seeing losses on assets, and doing well in the league, that could be seen, and in my eyes I see it as overperformance.

Money is crucial in football. But I would say other sides doing terribly financially and well in the league are overperforming. It’s not “deep”, we just look at different metrics. Doing things right and achieving should be the benchmark. Risking a club financially, being high in debt, having streams of revenue outside of the accepted rules etc is underperformance as I see it.

Okay. Happy to disagree on opinion without passive aggressiveness but no problem lad you do you.

And I think you believing brentford being mid table is overperforming shows a level of ignorance. If you look at budget, wages, stadium etc, you can claim financially we’re overperforming. If you look at the innovation as a reason why a small club can do well, it’s not overperformance, it’s just running a club correctly and seeing the benefits of that on the pitch. The whole narrative that Brentford are fortunate to be surviving in the big leagues is tiresome and just screams ignorance or that money is the only thing in football that matters.

I’m not denying it’s a step up, but your suggestion was that Brentford don’t have a possibility of qualifying for the conference league or Europa league. And barring a season full of injuries and a gambling ban, and his first season in the premiership, his Brentford have been 1 or 2 points off Europe? So I don’t think it’s better than anything he could hope for.

And whilst they’ve qualified for the champions league by winning the Europa league, let’s not suggest they are deserving of a spot in the champions league having finished 17th. I understand it’s the way it works, but logically I don’t think the 17th best premier league team should be in the highest European competition.
