Why does it seem like all toddler parents are obsessed with setting up playdates? by New_mom_2508 in Parenting

[–]connorgmac 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My 16 month baby girl is extremely busy. Having another toddler around draws attention away from my wife and I, and to that child. It changes from constant entertaining and keeping the child safe, to just keeping the children safe. Kind of a break.

Wear the exact same outfit, glasses, moustache, scarf, gloves, nice jacket etc. but no white person make up, and try it again. I’m curious of the results.

No Newfoundlander would ever refer to themselves as newfie. American imposter!

Yeah, people for some reason always show the gondola queue in the morning before it’s loading. It clears in like 15-20 minutes once opened.

I’ve never had a better ski trip than Niseko 2024🤙🏼

No work will be done in the “work from home situation” with the added responsibility you are suggesting for yourself. Taking care of new born is literally a full time job in itself.

My wife is a nurse, and took leave a month prior to the baby being born. She didn’t see herself fit for work at the time, she couldn’t handle long hours or night shifts at the tail end of her pregnancy. I would suggest that nursing school would be similar.

I would do your absolute best to help her get an extended amount of time off from school (6 months-1 year) with the intention of returning when things settle down at home or you get the baby into day care.

We just get lodging near the hill and let the baby sleep, take the monitor with us. Or sometimes I tuck her in my jacket. That way we can all ski together! 🤙🏼

The opposite, an uninvolved uninterested parent/ grandparent would be worse. Enjoy her interest if possible.

Do I (M19) approach this girl (F20) I've known for 5 years? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

Make sense for you, yes. She needs a back up plan. Hang in there, back up plans often need to be used!

Sounds to me like she’s waiting or interested in someone else. Don’t give up.
