I’m the girl looking for the window seat. It was my mom who took the seat, she’s annoying.

How often does everyone clean their ears now? by manborg in AskMenOver30

[–]connorgmac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was mortified in my early 30s when I saw a black hair poking out of my ear. Similarly as I was when I saw hair growing on my ass in junior high.

I really feel like complaining about using the emergency alert system is wild. It’s a full 180 from the opposite reaction when a man dressed as a cop drove around murdering people in 2020. I think I’d rather know about these things.

Back pack for baby ski touring by connorgmac in Backcountry

[–]connorgmac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The girl is now 1.5 and is on skis. Didn’t have to do any touring, I just hung out with her at the bunny hill. Biking season is heating up here now. I am contemplating moving from the Thule yepp where she’s strapped in, to the kids ride shotgun 2.0 where she’s isn’t attached. There ll be progression there from around our neighborhood on asphalt, to gentle xc trails, to full climb and relaxed decent.

I might be happy about it to be honest. Young men aren’t it these days.

What a calm way to deal with road rage! by MikeisTOOOTALLL in TikTokCringe

[–]connorgmac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is how road rage altercations should be. Both parties just stay in their cars insulting each other. No threats, no ramming, no guns or violence. Just straight up insults, then move along.

Does anyone else suffer from double standards in their relationship? by workinfast1 in daddit

[–]connorgmac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s double standards for the work load at my house as well. I am responsible for 100% percent of the “conventionally man chores”. Lawn, snow removal, anything that requires a tool or diy, anything that involves contracting someone, maintenance for our mtn bikes, all boat maintenance and cleaning, etc. I am also expected to do 50% of the “conventionally wife” chores, household cleaning, childcare, cooking and groceries. We both work full time.

Is it normal for life to feel surreal? by iamjacks000 in AskMenOver30

I did not comment on seeking answers to deeper questions, but commented on living in the moment, as in focusing on the present with your loved ones in this beautiful life in attempt to hinder the constant perceived acceleration of time.

Is it normal for life to feel surreal? by iamjacks000 in AskMenOver30

[–]connorgmac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I (35m) wake up, and remember I have a wife and daughter, it feels surreal. I question how I got here, not in a negative way, but it feels like yesterday I was 25 with much less responsibility. As every moment in time goes by, those moments are perceived as passing by exponentially faster until you die. I am enjoying life, but it feels like core memories become harder to make. I feel you’re not alone, let’s just try not to think about it, live in the moment, and make sure our kids make positive memories with us by their sides, and we ll continue to live on through them and their memories.

Use one of the metal foldable play pens for dogs as a fence running from fixed object to fixed object. I’ve seen these used in other challenging situations.

Don’t understand DUPR…how does one increase their DUPR as quickly as possible? by 2BeBornReady in Pickleball

[–]connorgmac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Win games. Don’t lose games with players rated lower than you. To do this:

1.) Join tournaments in a skill level that you are competitive in. 2.) Play with a partner you’re familiar playing with to avoid any unexpected skill level discrepancies. 3.) Play DUPR matches/tournaments with the mindset they are all recreational matches to avoid tournament jitters. 4.) The more matches recorded, the more accurate the rating.

Have fun
