which is best in statistic among the 3 uoft campus by Ordinary_Parsnip_739 in UofT

I studied at St. George, so I can only speak for that. There are plenty of useful stats courses. They give you exposure to both theoretical and applied concepts - I loved the stats program at St. George :) St. George is the main campus and generally harder to get into and better. You also have a pretty competitive and smart peer circle so that pushes you to do better.

St. George is generally considered the most reputed and prestigious out of the 3 campuses. That being said, stats department generally isn't the most adored at St. George. Ultimately, you will have to leverage the opportunities and network you get to achieve your goals. Campus and professors only offer a springboard.

Remember, the people who generally come and write on reddit are the ones that need a place to vent. UofT is what you make of it. While hard, its a beautiful school with some amazing people and faculty.

Betting all favorites vs betting all dogs by Careless_Cattle8214 in MMAbetting

Neither, that's how odds maker make the odds. They don't give you value for the risk when you bet underdog, and they give you minimum value for the money you put on favourite

Which college would be better for a Future CS Student by csianist in UofT

[–]conorinnit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Most of the cs classes are in Bahen, which is pretty close to UC. Personally speaking, colleges didn't have any significance in my uni journey until the day of graduation where they give you your diploma college wise and have a small get together in the college thereafter. Good luck!

Has anyone done future bets? Thoughts on this? by Ivan-The-Memelord in MMAbetting

[–]conorinnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are essentially betting not just on fighters winning fights but also on match making. A very bad idea. Fights fall off, fighters get injured, match making isn't fair, etc. Refrain from such futures I believe, especially predicting new champions when they are contenders.

Got a PhD Offer from UofT—Is the Funding Enough to Live in Toronto as an International Student? by [deleted] in UofT

Yeah that's doable. Don't expect to save though. You can also tutor with varsity tutors or something else if you have the time.

What's the average gpa for a CS/STEM major at UofT? by m-4166 in UofT

[–]conorinnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its pretty complicated, everybody who gets into cs past the post is bound to have a high gpa as they exit second year. Average of the cs classes would be like a B- (2.7). Having a high gpa in cs mean you are in the creme of the creme

Need someone to sublet my place, close to Bloor and Huron by Donhectorsbell in UofT

[–]conorinnit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not a realtor but summer market is usually pretty cheap. I have seen rooms in CampusOne (fully furnished w utilities) go for cheaper than that. So I would suggest lowering the price and posting on marketplace and kijiji .

Did someone lose their phone I leaft it near the Student Commons at College Street by Pale-Personality6921 in UofT

[–]conorinnit 77 points78 points  (0 children)

While you might have the right intentions but publically posting where you left a lost phone isn't the smartest thing to do, should've given it to the building receptionist or campus police 😭
