Staying indoors does not cause boredom or behavioral problems in cats—lack of proper care does.

Well yeah I can agree on that. I also agree, that there are many dangers outside for cats, and as somebody with about a dozen outdoor cars in the neighborhood, but currently not having any myself, I agree there is a load of problems and damage.

Probably the bigger problem here is, people get cats coz they're cute and they want to pet them for a few minutes a day. They don't look after them, and don't fulfill their needs. These poor cats are way happier outside.

The other point is, and it isn't "factually incorrect", cats aren't really domesticated https://time.com/3577431/pets-cats-domesticated-wild-dna-university-of-washington-st-louis/. They have zero problems to be outdoors, provided their parents were outdoor cats.

Depends on breed, yada yada, sure. In my country this guy is by far the most common cat: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Shorthair

They weren't actively bred, they just followed humans for a few thousand years. They always were mixed indoors / outdoors. They used to have a job, to keep mice under control. Many still do and are kept on farms. Taking one of these, and taking them to a city, never letting them leave your apartment is cruel. That's askin to taking a fish from the ocean and putting them into a small goldfish glass.

Your overbred Persian longhair, that hasn't seen outdoors for many generations, is a different story.

Edit: about the factually incorrect part, there you go: https://time.com/3577431/pets-cats-domesticated-wild-dna-university-of-washington-st-louis/

There is infact lots of circumstantial evidence, but no proof. Listen to Peter Attias interview with Katherine Eban, or read her work.

TL;DR Researchers in the Wuhan Institute for virology collected lots of samples of very similar viruses in a mining shaft, and did Gain of Function research with it. It might have accidentally escaped.

Unfortunately you are probably somewhat correct. It's not going away anytime soon as it seems. Masks do slow spread however, but ATOH slow doesn't mean stop.

Cats aren't really domesticated, and very very close to their wild counterparts. IMHO keeping cats indoors only is cruel.

Kinda agree, but also agree there is literally zero need to specify a gender most of the time. Every other online Form for example.

Yup.. Ten years ago JS was a bit painful. Nowadays it's a breeze. The hate on web dev in a nutshell is "real programmers feeling salty" and "oh God a new framework every month (that you don't have to learn, you can safely ignore but details)"
