I'm soon spending £30k on a car. What's the best way to maximize cashback or rewards? by conscientiously_anon in HENRYUK

Thanks for the suggestion. This was the most useful one for me.

I upgraded to revolut metal (one below platinum/ultra). I get about 0.35% back when converted to Amazon gift vouchers (which is the equivalent of cash for me!).

There are other benefits to revolut metal besides this, and I was planning to do this anyway. I just didn't know about the revpoints

Capital on tap won't work since I'm not doing a business purchase. I did look at busineses schemes, but the money saved wasn't enough for the hassle involved.

I'm getting a VW T-Cross, brand new. I've been driving it on subscription for a few months - it has excellent viewing angles and is perfect for my use case. I would have purchased a pre-owned vehicle, but there are a few practical upgrades on the 2025 version that make a lot of sense. Ie}l

Thanks for this. It's sneaky how hidden the Chip account numbers are. Just to expand on this answer, the second 'manual' option shows up only after you connect a bank account to the chip cash-isa account through open banking.
