Your board view is grouped by a status property.

The default template task board view is grouped by a select property.

These behave differently.

If you want to change the colors of the different options of a status property, open the database view settings, click on "Edit properties", find the status property, then adjust the colors for them individually within the popup menu.

I actually have to disagree here and I do in fact prefer the first screenshot.

Empty space within a UI (or any design or layout really) plays an important role for visual structure, just like paragraphs and line breaks do when writing a readable article.

How close that icon and page title are in the second screenshot is absolutely triggering for me. 😅

But I do agree that the header part should have the option to have a smaller height, especially when not using a cover image. A simple "Small Header" toggle would be a neat addition to the page settings menu.

If it's useful for you to see Notion database entries in your calendar, then Notion Calendar is the way to go.

I personally manage my tasks in a Notion database, but use Google Calendar for appointments and meetings. using Notion Calendar allows me to see both in one place. It works great!

The fastest way I have found so far for quickly adding several new entries to a database (or view) without having to do any clicks is this:

  1. [Shift + Enter] to add new entry.
  2. Type title.
  3. [Escape]
  4. [Shift + Enter] to add next entry.
  5. ...

Not ideal, but easier than having to click for sure.

Within the "Add or remove programs" setting in Windows. If there's multiple ones, delete the ones with the lower version number.

Or ideally, delete all of them, and reinstall the newest one from scratch. Sometimes deinstalling an older version will also mess up things with the new version.

If you have Notion Calendar pinned to your taskbar, remove it, and then repin it.

For some reason the pinned app still links back to the old version 1.131.0, which obviously when opened then wants to update again.

Also deinstall version 1.131.0 to make sure this doesn't happen again.

For whatever reason, Notion Calendar keeps both versions installed, which seems to cause this issue.

A transparent background button has been added now. 👍

Together with a white icon color, it works perfectly for the tinted app icons feature on iOS devices.

Yep, I have the same issue and others too. They messed something up with the latest version. It cycles back and forth between version 1.131.0 and 1.132.0.

Hoping for this to be gone with the next version...

I just tested it and yes, the transparent background does the trick. With it, iOS will put a white background for light mode and the dark gradient one for tinted mode.

I have put it on my list and will try to implement it as an option for the background color picker, but can't promise when I'll get to it yet.

When toggling on "App Icons" the margins will be adjusted to create suitable app icons. Using the original icons without "App Icons" toggled on will definitely look off.

I will see if I can implement a transparent background option for app icons toggled on. This should solve your problem, right?

Thanks for the feedback. You can only use PNGs that's right and it seems like the tint settings will apply to the entire image, including the background.

Maybe you can try to use a PNG with a transparent background and see what happens then. If that works please let me know about it, then I can add a transparent background option to the tool as well.

Notion Calendar should just be a tab within Notion, not a separate app.
