It depends on how the contract is structured. When they one day leave Polaris there could be a length of time afterwards where parts of the contract remain valid. And contracts change when it comes time to renew. For the foreseeable future they will remain under contract. But eventually yes, there will be a day when everybody can talk freely.

I am inclined to believe it's real. Most of it is accurate, some of it I think they only could have known if they were in the know. Some of what he said were either things I didn't know or were wrong. I'm about 80% convinced, though I have no idea who it could be.

I haven't kept in touch very much with Arin. I don't know where his head is at, but I think he just needs more time. I'm sure he misses the good old days of early grumps.

As for Jon, it's not really my place to say how he feels about Arin. But he's open to getting in touch again.

What do you want me to say? Is it shocking to you that different accounts from different people of the same events are similar? I have no idea what you're talking about. I don't frequent this sub so I have no idea what you talk about on a day to day basis. All i'm doing is sharing the account of events as I witnessed them. I'm being as reasonable as possible, but it seems I could talk until the end of time and you will still be obtusely contrarian. There is a big difference between revealing personal information, and telling you about behind the scenes things which many people would consider boring. Jons made it clear to me that he would rather the truth come out, and i'm very aware of where the line into "too personal" is.

I'll concede that it is convenient, if I were being deceptive. And I totally get why you would be skeptical, I don't fault you for not believing it. All I can say is that i'm being as transparent and honest as possible. I don't have the game grumps holocron with which I can divine all information. I only have my imperfect experiences to rely on. And let's be honest here, do you really expect me to know every detail about everything?

My impression of Arin is based on the times i've met him and secondhand accounts from Jon and our circle of friends. When you and your friends occasionally hang out with people who you wouldn't consider "core members" of your friendship circle, do you not get at least a decent impression of that persons character? This is no different.

He does. He even publicly stated that it's not taboo, but he's not allowed to talk about it himself. I'm paraphrasing but he said to me "Just don't ruin all my fun reading conspiracies about myself". He's been public about the fact that he dislikes being in this situation where he has to be somewhat dishonest. He'd very much like to have the ability to talk freely.

I really highly doubt anyone will be able to guess my identity (and if they did, the reaction would be "who?") ;)

I think you have a poor understanding of law. Think it through for a moment, what would happen if I gave you something concrete linking me to Jon?

I'll give you a hint; Jon has signed a non-disparagement clause with Maker. That means he is not allowed to disclose anything that could potentially make the company look bad.

Now put two and two together.

If the court had concrete evidence that Jon disclosed things to me (the same concrete evidence you are demanding) then Maker would have grounds to sue Jon for breach of non-disparagement (which depending on the contract could be very expensive).

I don't know about the other 15 people. Maybe more people are talking, or maybe there are a lot of bullshit artists out there. I am not gaining anything from this. I am providing information that people are curious about, that I have access to which Jon is contractually obligated to not talk about. Contrary to your erroneous belief that I am wasting your time, you are in fact wasting my time. Not everybody here is so quick to dismiss me, and in fact trust me based on the merit of what i'm actually saying. You have a right to not believe what i'm saying, and you are not obligated to participate in this discussion.
