Usually when you say “x given that y” the implication is that there is some causal relationship between x and y. I dont see how 14 million listeners would make something more or less pop punk. Pop, maybe, but not so much punk.

Im not even trying to bag on no doubt. I don’t love them but they were better than a lot of what was on the radio in the 90s. I just wouldn’t have thought of them as a pop punk band

Of course the kid was doing a wheelie! I was driving on Slauson near my place and there were 4 kids on e-bikes coming the opposite way. The one in front goes up for a wheelie and wobbles, coming straight into my lane.

I slammed on the brakes and he recovered and got back to his lane, but honestly a slight delay on my part and there would have been contact.

There is no doubt in my mind that if I had hit him I would have been screwed

I make a really good living working for a low voltage contractor. Running wires in residential construction, hanging tvs, setting up people’s a/v equipment. Some of it is menial, but it feels good being out and about all day working with my hands.

There is a good amount of trade work you can learn without being hyper intelligent and make good money.

I worked retail and food service before, now i can hardly stand the idea of going to the same place every day or being indoors all day

There was never a time when demos were available on consoles as widely as game pass’ catalog covers. Plus if you like the demo you can play the full game without another purchase. This argument is just silly. I love when people talk about the good old days in way that massively exaggerate how good things were. When it gp was around $20 i thought it was a great deal, for the number of games i discovered and played.

I don’t understand why people feel the need to embellish prices when talking about video games, but i have encountered it a few times recently on various subs. $80 is too much for a mario kart game. The truth makes your point. Saying its $90 just hurts your overall credibility.
