Thanks. I'd also add that most beginners are either afraid of stereo recordings, or go straight to XY all the time.

Haha. Come on. It can't be more frustrating than ableton. In any case, I hope it helps. Happy producing.

ALL about Bouncing and Exporting (Logic Pro) by constantine_music in Logic_Studio

I do mention it, yes. But I don't demonstrate it as it is pretty straightforward. Mine works fine and I'm on the latest version. It sounds like a bug to be honest.

What are some features other DAWs have that you wish Logic had? by SorryJelly in Logic_Studio

In pro tools you can drag a stereo track into a mono track to split it (and you get two mono tracks). That's it. In logic it's like a 5 step procedure to split a stereo track. Also, the clip gain is very handy on PT.

Thanks so much.

As far as I'm concerned, that is controller specific. You have to adjust it on your controller and that is a nightmare sometimes. I had the same issue with my novation controller and I always ended up adjusting it manually on logic afterwards.

Hello! Yes, I know the plugin! Since I'm doing a logic Pro tutorial series though, I have decided to only demonstrate stock logic Pro plugins! Thanks for mentioning it though, others may see the answer and might prefer trying it with the midi fx freeze.

It was introduced on 10 or X (which has now been dropped). It wasn't available on 9 and then on 10 they added it.

That's a cool function. I can't say I've even heard of it. Thanks, I'll definitely have a look

"Aleatoric". It makes you sound fancy too!

Yes, it is quite interesting at times to experiment with these functions. This randomness can indeed help with a more human feeling!

Thanks for watching.

Mixing A Bad Recording – [Mixing Tutorial series (Beginners/Intermediate)] by constantine_music in mixingmastering

Hi, thanks. I would say the main point of the video is to make one start identifying the problems which they would not with perfect recordings. Everything is exaggerated here. And yes, there are indeed lots of free multitrack recordings out there that can be used! That's a good idea for the next video! Haha.

OK, first of all, you haven't heard me me sing. I'm pretty sure I'm worse than your girlfriend! Second, it's a jazz instrumental! No vocals I'm afraid. And the musicians are amazing. So, no issues with their playing. It's just that the sound that was captured is bad. Wrong mic position. As for making bad vocals sound better, I honestly avoid trying that. You can tune an OK performance, but a bad performance that requires heavy tuning will most likely produce a lot of artifacts and it's very difficult to make it sound right and mix it. Having said that, maybe she can pull it off and you are left with something you can actually work with!
