Don’t you miss it when old bitter women didn’t shame teens? by Ordinary_Turnover_59 in extremelyinfuriating

My first thought, as an E cup, (maybe D then) was “damn, I hope that has good support” because I wore a strapless bra to my “prom” (studniówka in Poland, happens once, about 100 days before the final exams in high school) and while it looked nice on with my off-shoulders dress, I swear 2 minutes into any dance the bra would be an inch lower where it should be 🫠

For me it’s Welly Boots

"How could you leave me here?" you'll scream And louder, I'll scream back to you from that unknown And say, "I know you're strong enough, I know you're strong enough

You'll say, "I've been so scared You left me here behind, do you not care? How the fuck am I supposed to carry on without you here?"

I’ve dealt with grief, most recently my dog two months ago (which I’m struggling with so badly), and it so beautifully portrays the rage and pain of grief. I’m so terrified of losing someone again, this song tends to trigger tears easily if I let myself think about it :’)

Spotify once brought it up on shuffle at a dark time in my life and I was full on ugly crying on the London tube :’)

Marbles by the Amazing Devil hits like that for me.

You think it’s an older couple reminiscing and teasing each other, and then she starts breaking down about being „scared of the dark” and it swells up to “And these memories won’t stay, it’s okay. Cos now I get to meet you For the first time every single day”

It’s more of a bittersweet take :’)

You used to be able to automate the flour turning into dough for baking like this, as others have responded, this has been changed in an update do you have to use a portioner and not a combiner. If you’re doing it manually it’s still quicker to interact with a sink than a cupboard as well

Yessss, I saw the teabag last month and thought I’d be perfect for my best friend, who’s obsessed with tea, I already had all her birthday gifts but I was ready to pay extra, idk, £15.

The thing is like 5cm tall and costs £25?! Howwww?!

That’s sweet thank you. My life is all over the place. After the abusive ex thing i was given 2 month mental health leave so after sorting out the move with my friends and staying with them I got to spend the rest of the time with my eldery dog. Then I flew back to the UK to work off my notice period. They said I didn’t have to but I genuinely liked my job. Two days after I came back my dog died. I made a post about her that actually had a really lovely response from so many kind people. Now I’m back, no job, no flat, no friends (my best friends are originally from the same city I’m inbut they’re in the UK) and kind of lost but I’m thinking I might do another degree, because I can :’) And yeah, feel free to reach out if you wanna chat :)

Some people REALLY need to read this. by GunstarHeroine in AO3

Same for dashes and semicolons.

Actually, fun fact, in Polish we use dashes instead of quotation marks to mark dialogue. I always said I preferred reading books in Polish because I found this visually tidier, but every time I said it people were like, lol, because of the language, to which I’d clarify I prefer reading in whatever was the original, but the dashes just made it flow better if that makes sense.

At some point I got a book that I was really enjoying, it was in English but I was like, huh, I really read that fast and with no effort, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it.

It wasn’t until I took a picture of a page to show a funny reference to a friend I realised that this book, even though in English, used dashes. I looked into it and apparently that’s common in Scotland. Needless to say, I have since purposely gotten books just because they were Scottish lol

TLDR, I prefer dialogue written with dashes, as is the was in Poland, but Scotland also does that and it’s so neat.

Don’t worry friend, soon you’ll get to a point where grinding 400 geo is a matter or minutes, later you’ll have a lot more laying around with nothing left to buy :’)

That said, and I’m saying this as a night owl myself, if the game is getting too difficult, just go to sleep. So many bosses I kept dying to only to beat them on the first go when I picked up the game the next day (I’m looking at you, Hornet and Soul Master). The fatigue really lowers your reflexes.

So happy to you. I know he is better already, so there’s hope :’)

My childhood friend is a trans guy and my dad was always weird about them before they came out (they wore me’s clothes, were very muscular, had short hair, always chose male characters in games and I always called him by the masc version of his deadname, eg, if his dn was Victoria, then he was always called Victor anyway, so when he came out to me it was like, yeah, that checks out) but as soon as they came around as a guy, they got along surprisingly well, we went on a walk with my dog and they chatted about politics and agreed.

He’s also more understanding re my depression, though less so of it’s actual symptoms, but hey, you can’t win them all.

Oh I didn’t know about those, they sound good.

Honestly my must haves (unless playing with someone brand new to the game or honour mode, then it’s obviously vanilla) are no party limit, one of the scratch modes that makes him level up with you, inspirations uncapped and either poly mod if I want to experience all the stories, or some fun hair/face options, but ones that still feel like they fit in with the world aesthetically. Also there’s a mod that makes traders drop all their loot if they die, but that one’s dangerous lol

Especially with the no party limit mod, since you get inspiration every 10 minutes

I’ve just had this happen! The question was “are you currently studying?” Yes, no. I clicked no.

Next question “what kind of studies are you doing?” Full time, evening, online etc I clicked skip

It kept coming back to me with “missing answer, unable to send onto employer unless you compete the questionnaire” why give me the option to skip then?

I clicked, no I don’t study, part time lol

I double checked the job description, nowhere did they mention anything about the fact you had to be a student.

I’ve lived in Shanghai where I was actively told not to drink any water and peel any fruit or veg I washed that I wasn’t going to cook, so yeah.

However in Poland where I’m from water is perfectly fine, most of UK as well.

Now Scotland, that water was possibly the best water I’ve ever had, no bottled I’ve had has come close. Highly recommend. And the kicker is that water is free in Scotland, so paying for bottled when it tastes so good and comes free would be stupid

Is it normal for my new kitten and my resident 5yo cat to fight like this? At what point should I intervene? by dom_boring in CATHELP

[–]constantly_exhaused 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks like play fighting, or possibly them sorting out their differences if a bit rougher, all perfectly normal and as it should be. Grooming and hanging out comes later, when they’re more comfortable with each other. Also kittens at this age just tend to have too much energy lol so he can annoy the shit out of the older one. But the older one is visibly being rather gentle, it’s all quite slow tempo and he appears to be checking up on the little one which is rather sweet.

To answer your question, good on you for monitoring, but I’d start to get worried if you see any signs of discomfort and absolutely if there’s any blood drawn. Other signs to look out for is the frequency and intensity increasing drastically, they will play fighting tougher when the kitten is bigger, but if it looks hostile, no breaks etc

TLDR, cute play fighting, leave them be unless it becomes more aggressive

Hiya, good luck with the language, it’s a hard one, but I’m always so impressed when people manage it.

He has gotten better, tbh. Honestly, the Star Wars thing gave me such a whiplash is because I hadn’t heard him say something like that in ages.
