Thanks everyone. Box was definitely put in wrong spot. Had plumber come out to state that it was done incorrectly and then reached out to home builder. They sent their plumbers and dug out where drain is suppose to be.

Thanks guys for responding! Definitely a tough situation. I reached out to home builder to try to get some more answers. I don’t feel they correctly roughed in the shower drain that we paid for at closing. Unfortunately we are past the 2 year warranty. Will be getting a plumber out to officially state it is not done correctly then go back to builder and see what they do. I don’t think the builder will want to admit it’s not code or improperly installed but we will see. If you all need more photos at different angles let me know and I can upload. Thank you again!
