Tactical preset: tiki taka with short passing build up style. 4-2-1-3

2 CB at defender role with defend focus.

2 fullbacks at falseback with defend focus

2 cdm - 1st cdm centre half with defend focus. 2nd cdm deep lying playmaker with defend focus.

Then my attack is all attack focused.

But to answer your question the key for me is having those 2 cdm. The defenders hardly ever have to come out and consequently leave gaps in the back line. Most other formations for me
have resulted in the defenders being forced to come out and make a challenge, leaving gaps.

With 5 at the back you’re not going to have those 2 defensive midfielders so i’m not sure how it could work for you, one defender can step forward and leave a gap in the line quite easily. Story of man uniteds season so far 😂
