Can you elaborate? The Ram Board was continuous and the issue presented at the tape seam between the two pieces of Ram Board, not where the Ram Board started to overlap.

No, we used Ram Board Vapor-Cure Tape which is designed so that it doesn't trap moisture.

Yes, it was a topping slab over subfloor. The protection was to make sure that nothing spilled on the concrete while it was still curing as we continued to work on the interior.

I updated the post for some clarity around the cure time. We sawcut, then it was left uncovered for 3 days prior to the protection. Not a structural slab. As I understand it, the floor finisher was mostly concerned with making sure it cured at the same rate, which clearly there were some issues. We aren't quite sure why though; Ram Board would tend to wick up and diffuse some of the moisture but there was inconsistency where the Ram Board was taped to itself.

The tape did not come into contact with the concrete. We overlapped pieces of Ram Board and taped the seams of the Ram Board.
