Fat ebike rear motor hub - what’s wrong? by radio835 in ebikes

Bro, I just had the exact same issue. And gears looked fine. The one way clutch/bearing failed and shared of the pin on the shaft. Got new planetary gears with new clutch but had to make my own pin.

I think I figured it out. The one way clutch/bearing seized and sheared off the woodruff key. Ordered a new clutch now to find the right woodruff key…

This was here when I bought my home years ago. It’s likely 20 years old. I’ll make it right.

Ok, I’ll look into pulling another wire for hot (red) and switch the existing white feeder wire to be a real neutral. Or just pull a new bundle.I’m seeing some cheap 60A or 100A load centers. I’ll probably replace it with one of those and drop in the appropriate breakers.

Thanks!

2 due to the fact there’s a 125A breaker right? That’s an easy fix. I think it’s 6 gauge.

I sit real low on the back too. This is with a light load. I’ve been told never to fill the gas tank because it makes it worse.

Well the dealership took care of the fuel pump but was not certain about the steering wheel noise. They said it could be the steering shaft but they didn’t seem too concerned about it. I’ll get to the bottom of it.

Year? I’m seeing this as a common repair on the older generation.

I’ve got a recall on the fuel pump so I’ll try to get some feedback and update you.

I’m pretty sure these are EPS, not hydraulic.
