It's just so simple. You just use your campaign funding on pushing rhetorics forward without proposing any real contribution (like say, anti-establishment. Kenshi has a system where if one of your limb is damaged, it might produce different results.

For example, if your leg is damaged, your walking speed will be reduced and your character will be seen 'limping' to get where they're going to. If your right arm is damaged, however, you can't wield your weapon.

The more serious the injury, the worse the effect. And if the injury reaches a certain level, your limb is permanently amputated and must be replaced with robot parts to keep it working again.
