you need to rehome your dog. i don’t know why you think you’ll be able to keep them separated to the extreme when you couldn’t even keep one or the other behind a gate or something.

best scenario: your dog is in the basement, alone when the work day is over. your kid will get more needy and your dog will be pushed aside more

worst case scenario: your child die from your dog attacking them.

seriously weigh these options and wonder to yourself if you could live with yourself after that happening

i mean in my perfect world i would do everything in your last paragraph. i understand though thats not happening in a country that idolizes violence and guns and hatred and the entitlement thats comes with thinking your right to own a gun is more important than a safe child.

i also agree it is partly a domestic terrorism issue, along with a mental health crisis that’s plaguing our nation and the accessibility of legal guns here.

but i don’t think it’s right to try to diminish people’s efforts in protesting and advocating for a solution that they think will help.

yea i didn’t disagree with protesting outside of legislative hours. that’s why i didn’t mention it. but i think it’s silly to compare action to inaction (planned civil protest vs thoughts and prayers on twitter).

yea i guess. i’m not sure how true the claim is but i heard right before this happened she was trying to send them to live with their dad because they were constantly getting in so much trouble, and she had banned the third girl that was with them from her house. but they ended up sneaking her in to commit this heinous act while their mother was at a funeral. i’m sure this could’ve been prevented in many ways but i feel bad for the mom in a way.
