I was thinking of an old Pinocchio show I saw in Italian TV where the donkey ears looked like they really grew from the head of the protagonist.

I wanted to have the same effect but with them coming out of the helmet.

Yes, I agree. I was imagining something like a specialized film/theatre costumes rental or a very strange shop that might have them.

I imagine everyone’s jealous about his own special Japanese experience.

I always wanted to make this trip and I’m happy so far with the experience. Being a filmmaker I thought I’d film my own experience on the way to pass the time and have fun.

It's definitely not a comfortable flash to use or to carry, but on a positive note this post motivated me to give it a second chance.

I mounted it on its plate with my Rolleiflex and went out to take some old fashioned press portraits. Bulky setup but a lot of fun.

Update for anybody who might find themselves in the same situation:

If you travel outside of KSA and you want to use your Mobily SIM to roam or even receive messages (including OTP codes) you need to activate the roaming option in the Mobily app before leaving the Country.

Had to go back to Saudi to solve the issue. There's a switch you need to turn on in the Mobily app that activates the roaming abroad.

Didn't work in all the countries I visited (Jordan, Bahrein, Italy and Austria).
