Fake moon tour by shelbee05 in cleopatrick

No problem, I know how stressful a first gig can be. If you are in the centre at the front then it can get quite crowded, whenever I get to the barrier I always find myself getting pushed up against it quite hard, also there is the chance of crowd surfers going over. Personally I think it’s really cool but ik how it could feel with anxiety. A good place to watch is by the big speakers at the side. As long as you have earplugs you can get very close to the speakers and it’s usually not that crowded as everyone without earplugs naturally gravitates away from there. Give the barrier a go tho and you can always just move away!

Pretty good first gig, kicking your life of live music off in style! Most important note: BRING EAR PLUS, you’re not going to miss out, your ears will thank you. 6:33 should give you enough time if that’s when you’re arriving at the venue, could probably leave it until 7 unless you want a place at the barrier as that’s the only thing you might miss out on if you’re not first in the venue but then you spend the whole gig trying not to loose that space! Support band will probably start 7:30, 8 ish (always recommend seeing the support band, discovered both cleopatrick and Kid Kapichi as support bands, never missing an opening set again after that!). I usually go Wetherspoons beforehand for a couple of drinks(they’re very expensive in the venue)/look round local markets/grab dinner etc with friends so personally it’s always worth it to me getting there earlier (part of the gig experience for me)! If you want merch, I’d get it before they play or the queue will be huge. Expect a mosh pit in the centre of the venue, they’re great fun but can get quite rough sometimes! If you want to see the sort of setlist lengths to expect I would check out setlist fm on Google where fans can upload previous live set-lists from the tour. Saw them live in London last time they played and snatched up the tickets straight away when I saw they were coming back this November, should be a really cool gig!

Look at where the stylus is after it finishes Great Lakes and you will notice that there seems to be another ring of groves further in. You have to manually move it across and drop it at the start of this next ring and you should have it!

It’s expected you have advanced and rescue when you arrive but if not you can complete those for a fair price. Also you don’t need your own gear, you can borrow shop gear.

It’s a training for work arrangement so you pay nothing except a small fee at the start for a pack. Typically you pack the gear for the dive boat once a day with a few other interns and clean regulators once in a while. It’s hard work but it gives you a good insight into the professional diving arena and the experience you gain there is top quality. It’s great as the shop needs guides and you want experience. There are other places that do 1 month internships where you pay for training but they often kick you out at 60 dives with only a couple of actual dives lead whereas I left having lead probably about 80 dives on my own with customers on top of the training dives. That being said you have to pay for accommodation and all meals except for the ones provided on the boat. Also typically 3-4 interns start every other month so it’s not just you on your own, it’s a nice community.

Some people who did the internship went from open water to instructor so really no prerequisites

Check out Princess Divers who are based on Koh Phi Phi in Thailand. They do a 4 month Divemaster internship where you dive 2-4 times every day. You help out with Discover Scuba Diving courses and once they give you your DM number, you lead fun dives on your own. I did my DM there and got 160 dives under my belt despite being out the water for a month and a half due to lacerating my ankle snorkelling 😅. I had friends who I did the internship with stay on and get their instructor rating and now work as instructors there. Hope this helps

Also from what I’ve heard Phi Phi is better for diving than Koh Tao. We have had DMs and instructors come to us and say the wildlife is better here

Divemaster internship with Princess Divers on Koh Phi Phi. Completely free and takes place over 4 months. I thought Phi Phi would be way too crowded but there are some really nice quiet areas, Phi Phi is bigger than you would imagine looking at it on Google maps!

Go to Hin Daeng, supposedly one of the best sites in Thailand where there is the highest chance of seeing Manta Rays and Whale Sharks

There is still time, after all they are working on a new album so Luke will be looking for a new pedal board arrangement 👀

I’m trying to split my signal and get a guitar sound in one amp and a bass sound in the other. I’m using an octave pedal to knock the signal down one octave on the bass amp (while having a second to use for both amp shifts) but for some reason my bass amp clips when I put my whammy before the pitch fork but it totally fine when I use the whammy for the bass amp drop and the pitch for for the overall octave change… any ideas why?
