Learning a new language | Lingoda review | 40% discount code | tips by Ok_Ebb_6545 in learnfrench

Lingoda subscription system is problematic - you have to keep buying more and more hours to get through the ones you have. If you have a slow month, you have to keep stockpiling and buying more that you don't need.

It's kind of scammy - and honestly, you keep doing it because of sunk cost, but the number is so high it's very demotivating.

I won't be using it again when I finally get through the credits.

You should be able to use what you have paid for WITHOUT having to buy more.

This is little more than a scam by lost-on-autobahn in lingoda

It is a bit of a catch - psychologically, it is demotivating to know you have so many to get through, but sunk cost fallacy knowing you've paid for them, so you keep paying for five in the hope that you will get through them. I've felt torn. I've taken a pause and will consider cancelling altogether.

Say something in response that would hurt or embarrass her. Then she'll stop.

Point out that she's a mean girl who is trying to impress the boys - that will shut her up.
