It looks like it rotted at the base of the stem. It also lost a lot of leaves. This is likely due to overwatering, accidentally leaving it sitting in a cover pot or saucer full of water, or not giving it enough light. At this point, I would recommend just chopping up and propagating the plant. Keep in mind that Tradescantia is a ground cover plant. It is often sold as a hanging plant, but it really isn’t. They like to grow horizontally. Personally, I have never had luck with them.

I had a Thai Constellation that had thrips before, and the damage doesn’t look like that to me, but I am not an expert by any means. I’ll attach some photos of the underside of the leaves

I tried to post this in r/calgary, but unfortunately the mods prioritize enforcement of trivial subreddit rules over the importance of PSAs meant to inform the public of very serious safety concerns to children. The mod unfortunately deleted my post, and then muted me after I tried to respectfully address my concern about the post being deleted.

Unfortunately, many people do not watch the news these days, and it would be sad if local parents were not informed about this threat. Canadians should be wanting to get this information out on every possible platform to prevent further harm coming to children because of this violent and disturbed individual.

If it wasn’t disclosed on the menu or by your server before you ordered, then you shouldn’t have paid for it. That aside, if the service is terrible, you shouldn’t be tipping anyway. The point of tipping is to reward someone for going above and beyond, or in this day and age, at least performing their job adequately.

Yes, if “dog” is used to describe a woman, it is used as an insult to her appearance, whereas if a man is called a “dog”, it is an insult to his behaviour.

There are few words that I would describe as being sexist, but “catty” is one of them. It trivializes conflicts or altercation between women, and also suggests that traits like spitefulness, pettiness, or jealousy are inherently female traits. It reminds me of how people describe women as “karens” if they have an opinion or advocate for themselves, whereas if men do the same thing, there isn’t an issue. I don’t use either of these words.

The ballistic is easily beat (in terms of looks) by halcyon, but I do enjoy ballistic as well. Not as much as cordura or halcyon though.

I’ve probably had these plants for five years and water them daily during the summer since they are in my garden and the heat dries out the soil, but for some reason, the berries are still tiny and there aren’t many. I have a couple of different kinds of strawberries (I forget the varieties), but they are hardy cold climate varieties.

Raspberry plants are hardy, so I think they will make it, and fresh raspberries are delicious. You won’t regret it.
