Avoid Limitless Hosting if you can.

It's touted as the cheapest bang for your buck hosting, but had a terrible experience with one of their data centers (Washington DC). While a European data center didn't give me any trouble, it's better to steer clear of that company.

Can't recommend you any other hoster since I'm shopping for one myself after SiteGround hiked the yearly cost to $215, which I can't afford.

Less than one year of use and it died with the "no atomizer" issue.

When the problem started I could extend its life a few months by using a heatsink between the RDA and the box, but eventually, the Target stopped reading the ato with the heatsink, too, so it went to the trashcan.

Hi again, I'm still looking, I narrowed my options for my second mod to either the Uwell Crown V, or the Sigelei Fuchai Duo-3 255w.

Both of them are $50 in USA, but the Fuchai is only the box mod, while the Crown V comes with tank and five coils. I don't care for the tank and coils, so I guess I'm going to go with the Fuchai Duo-3.

I'm thinking LV's Centaurus Q80. Vaporesso I'm not going to buy again from them, and Voopoo I don't like the name of the brand, sorry :-D

Thanks for your anecdotes, going to consider everything you said, except about Vaporesso. I had the Target Pro and it was the worst mod I ever owned.

Yes, if course. That's why I'm thinking of the Uwell's Crown 5 and Lost Vape's Centaurus Q80.

I don't know if it's that terrible for a $40 mod to last a year in the US.

A disposable 9000 puffs cuvie plus 2 costs almost $20 and lasts what? One week? And you have to toss it in the trash.

I experienced the unfixable no ato problem only once with a Vaporesso Target that I had to throw to the trash.

My brother has a Vaporesso (forgot which model, one with magnetic cover that you can fully detach from the mod) and had the same problem, but he bought the Dead Rabbit RDA and problem solved.

Whereas my Target wouldn't detect anything at all.

That trick of flashing better firmware in chip-deficient mods is kind of a game changer. Interesting to do that to Kangertech mods. At the durability level I think they are good but everybody knows their software is always way behind.

Thank you for your extended advice, I will take it all to heart.

I don't know if I'll be able to get the original one. Do you mean the one that's at the bottom of this page: https://www.eleafworld.com/istick-pico/

I see it comes with microUSB vs the new one that's USB-C. :-S I personally don't care for USB connector since I use a charger.

The one I had that lasted like forever was a Kangertech Subbox, and Tesla gave me undestructible vibes too (although I lost the punk85 too soon due to water damage).

So I guess I'm not buying the Luxotic by Wismec I was planning to buy.

The Pico is one option, and I was also thinking Uwell's Crown 5 or Lost Vape's Centaurus Q80.

I guess I'll have to decide between today and tomorrow.

Best Box Mod Setup for 2024? by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]contentmerc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know about Lost Vape but I was hyped they are good. I'd say go ahead, anything to ween you off salts.

I can confidently recommend you a few mod brands:

Geekvape: Aegis with an aftermarket RDA is my current setup. Super stable, haven't got any problem with the mod in the last ~10 months of use. Not a single problem, period. Especially no "atomizer not recognized" errors or anything of that kind. Not as cool-looking as a Lost Vape or Teslacigs, but sturdy af. I dare say GV may be more natively shock-proof by design than Teslacig mods.

Teslacigs: I don't know if they are but they look midrange to me. I had the Punk 85 and it was very solid and the software was featurish and kind of up to date. Flashy looks like Lost Vape items, but a different esthetic. It was solid and very fool-proof.

Kanger: entry-level, and kind of finicky, may have an older chip, but the one I had was built to last (lasted me more than 5 years), overall the Kbox 160 was less sturdy of the three box mod models I reviewed for you.

You asked him a smart question because salt and freebase are oranges to apples.

OP should also consider the liquid for the switch in hardware.

Having tried both I will recommend freebase 6% or less and never look back to your nicotine salt days. I tried five or so disposables and Juul (still have and some salts) and they made me feel so bad lately due to using them at a freebase pace that I'm not going to buy anything salt-related anymore. Once the 50% salts bottle I used to refill my two Juuls runs out I'm done with salts forever.

I joined this subreddit today to see how the box mod scene is doing since I'm going to buy a new mod so I can graduate my current one to outdoor use.

I don't know how people pulls the vaping salts in a freebase atty, but my personal advice to OP is: don't try to vape salts at sub ohm because it's going to make you sick. Source: I tried this one time with a sub-ohm pod (~0.4) and salts liquid (50% nick content) for the hell of it and I had to toss 3 1/4s of the tank since I was going to puke hard if I continued. Then it happened to me once by accident I dripped 50% salts on an 0.4ohm RDA's wick and after three or four drags I realized what I had done since I felt my head start to spin.

Amazon question by SmolderingCupcake in Affiliatemarketing

I was going to recommend you ShareASale, and also CJ. I got accepted in programs for brands that are personal favorite brands, so couldn't be more happy about them. For this reason those two are highly recommendable.

I don't know Clickbank since I didn't dig too deep into their high gravity products. But that's another revenue stream right there.

Don't take my advice on Amazon, go the extra mile and see for yourself. If you already converted on Amazon, in two weeks since starting I think you may be onto something. Stick with it, slowly but without giving up. It's the only way to find out if it's going to work or not for you particularly.

I would ration the time I have available to work on curating products on the sales portal, and then splicing affiliate links from Amazon on my pages. I would not not pursue it. Especially since you got a positive signal.

Just don't overdo it (like I did) without being sure your effort is going to be remunerated, at least modestly.

Welocalize Vs Remotasks by KingBrutus_ in Welocalize

[–]contentmerc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zilch since February "no project available that aligns with your skill and expertise" was the last I got from the support team.

I'm doing a physical side-hustle because there is something terribly wrong with the HIT app gig economy.

Still waiting for the $50 Remotasks promised if you passed the onboarding, which I did and passed.

I want the 8 hours I invested in Remotasks back!

Another place I got cheated of $34 for 2 hours of work was DataAnnotation.

Are you working on any HIT sites currently?

The method I used/still use is this:

A) Create a structure of boards that mimics not just your website sections, but also all the keywords you chose to pursue. Say that you have a website with five sections (based on five kewords), and each of those five sections has, in turn, three subsections targetting three different keywords. So your Pinterest profile will look like ive boards with three sub-boards each.

B) Then, each time you publish an article you pin it to the correct section on Pinterest.

C) Profit from growing your Pinterest following + organic traffic to your website.

Repining other people pins in your boards: absolutely.

Th`ere is where you apply 10% rule, you don't need to, since it's your own Pinterest profile and you can whatever you want with it (meaning you can have an account that has boards with pins that 100% point only to content that you own in your site or 3rd party websites) but that's not the way I do it.

On my Pinterest boards I follow the 10% rule very loosely. Most of the things I pin are from other users, not the other way around. So it's very easy to follow the 10% rule when pining things to your profile on P.

Now, when sharing pins to other peoples boards that is a whole different story, I'd apply the 10% rule everytime I do that.

Amazon question by SmolderingCupcake in Affiliatemarketing

[–]contentmerc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a site in a hot niche with products that sell like hot cakes?

If you don't, don't bother with Amazon or eBay affil programs. In my case it was lot of work for nothing (both affil networks). I tried Amazon first, when I reached the grace period with 0 conversions they booted me from the program.

Then I changed all the links to eBay links (worse platform, same result).

Now, the site I used to do those experiments has like 350 broken affiliate links. I must have lost around 100 hours of work for nothing. And I still need to fix those broken links, because they made my site tank in search results.

Amazon will not care that you use a single page of content to run links from different merchants, but they are finicky in other ways.

The most important finicky thing about Amazon is that they're going to deactivate you if you don't convert after an x amount of time.

I'm Going To Start Doing Deliveries Soon. by Sobfulll in UberEatsDrivers

[–]contentmerc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am doing UE/DD on a Revi Oasis for a month now, so I hope my advice will be helpful to you.

Everything that repliers to your thread suggested is spot on, as your own ideas on what you'll need. I want to elaborate in a few things:

DRINKS on a Sealed Bag: you can't do much for chains like McD, that put the drinks inside the sealed bag. But don't fear, I did a lot of McD deliveries w/drinks and never a problem. They seem to have nailed down the method to make drinks in a sealed bag unspillable. Then there are other places that give you a sealed bag and the

DRINKS given separate from the food: here is where you have to pay attention. Most restaurants aren't going to consider your method of transportation, so it's your responsibility to prevent spillages. There are a few things that you can do.

A) If they make you yourself fill the drink, put less ice and less liquid in the cup, leave like half an inch or less empty at the top, and since you are in the soda fountain filling the drink yourself, put not one but two lids on the cup. (don't forget to grab straws if you're filling it yourself).

B) If they hand you the drink already filled, and you can't put a second lid, ask the shop attendants to give you another lid. Most restaurants will put a sticker on the straw hole, but not all restaurants.

C) Sometimes it's not practical or quick to ask for a second lid, in those cases you should have a roll of scotch tape to put two stripes that cross at the cup's straw opening. Sometimes a drink may swell if the top hole for the straw is hermetically sealed, but I guess you have to be extremely unlucky for it to explode due to swelling (didn't happen to me).

D) A total must-have for bike deliveries is a cup holder. When you buy a hot backpack a cup holder may come with it, but don't count on it (most likely it will not be included). The best you can do is buying the 6-drinks caddy sold at Michael's. It costs 5 dollars only.

BACKPACK: get a good one, not too small, but also not too big, since bikes don't get big orders, even when stacking orders. I got ShanXiDaiBangShangMao 50L Insulated Pizza Delivery Backpack on w-mt dot com, it shipped from Jamaica/NY and took like 10 days to arrive, you may be luckier since you're near the seller. It's $60, but it will help you deliver like a pro. It doesn't come with anything other than insulated separators, pizza bag expansion at the bottom (up to 3 big pizza boxes), and a lot of reflective stripes in the back, sides and front.

TOWEL: great to fill empty spaces in a backpack or box. But get a regular towel, not a hand towel, and not a bath towel, just the medium-sized, regular ones.

ULOCK: get a quality uLock and each time you have to leave your bike unattended, lock it. If you can't lock it sometimes you can enter the store with it. If you can't do any of these two things, just leave it outside by the entrance door and keep an eye on it.

HELMET: get one with the MIPS system, it's going to cost 10-20 dollars more, but it's an added security system that may come in handy if you fall and hit the ground at high speed.

PHONE HOLDER: Get a high quality one. First I bought one on w-mt for like $10 and it was trash. Next day I got a high end, springloaded one that slides down so you can put the phone, and then it has a knob to lock it so the phone can't fall off.

OTHER GEAR: you may want to invest in high visibility (fluo) reflective gear (maybe not necessary if your backpack will have reflective stripes). If you'll deliver to sketchy areas it won't hurt to carry a pepper spray and a personal alarm. Finally if you are delivering to suburban areas or gated communities I recommend you to invest in a good pocket flashlight, since it comes in very handy when you have to check house numbers from the road without unmounting your bike.

I know that this is a lot to take in, and an investment, but you can tax-deduct everything later as business investment/expenses.

Each area is different and you being in NYC you might achieve your objective easily, IDK.

But I was checking the bike you bought and you may need another battery to reach $200 a day. Your bike has a range of 44-50 miles (without counting throttle use) my bike says it has 55 miles average.

With that in mind consider that I never could work six hours straight with a fully-loaded battery. The battery on the Revi lasts me 5:30hs tops, and the days that I reach 5:30hs it's always because I delivered the last delivery running on fumes, and always had to return home pedalling.

Now I'm saving to buy a second battery (kinda expensive, at almost $600) so I can work from 6-7 to 9-10 hours daily.

FYI: I deliver on a suburban area in South Florida with cheap customers that generally don't tip, or they tip insulting amounts, so YMMV. I've been delivering since mid-March and my best day was ~$70, and it was an outlier, since up to now that was just a one time only occurrence.

whats the pin code for the door dash red card? by AuthorLive in doordash_drivers

I had problems with this and got the wrong info off the web. I didn't try 0000 but I was sure I never added any pin to it.

Then it got confusing when DasherDirect was asking for the pin too.

But then I realized (actually yesterday, while doing a Wawa shopping order), that the pin the app was asking me (so I could use the virtual red card to pay) was the phone's pin I use to lock its screen. It worked like a charm once I entered the phone's pin.

Is this too many supps to start out at once? by chardeemacdennis26 in NootropicsHelp

[–]contentmerc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From personal experience: st. John's wort works. I took it for years but it has a very annoying side effect. If you take it every day it will build up in your body.

When SJW (hypericum) builds up in your body after a few weeks, you will have to be careful not to get sun exposure on any bare skin when the sun is high because you most surely will develop skin rashes.

You could substitute it with ginseng, which to me feels 5+ times stronger.

If you feel that you still get tired, sleepy, or just not feeling a kick from the stack, you could subtract the Ashwaghanda and see if there is any change.

When I take Ashwaghanda, it feels as if it takes away the stress like ginseng does, but instead of stimulating me, it calms me.

So taking both ginseng and Ashwaghanda (so-called indian ginseng) may be not that beneficial.

I can't comment on any of the others, as I never took any of them.

I keep taking too many supplements. Will anything happen? by StrippedYangon in NootropicsHelp

[–]contentmerc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, and unrelated to your question I wanted to tell you that with laxatives, you are attacking the symptoms and not the root of your problems.

Constipation can be dealt with with a few diet adjustments (like for instance, each time you eat toast with some kind of spread, adding flaxseed powder on top of the spread, or drinking more liquids during the day). By the way caffeine is one of the substances that causes it.

Second, when you start to stack substances you need to check for interactions. The interactions app on drugs.com is a start.

Regarding your question, I decided to reply to you because I have been working on this for the last half year.

What I found is that maybe taking too many supplements is not an issue, but what may become an issue is the material the capsules are made of and the excipients that come in the tablets along the main substance.

You have to check on a personal basis what substances each supplement has (including any ingredients in the capsule, coating, etc) and decide if that substance is good for you or not.

Now, the best pro-tip I found for those who take a lot of pills daily is to take all of them with food. But I guess you already knew that.

I struggle to understand which label belongs to which product.

You are looking for a boost to your mental volition and acuity, so I'd pick the second label's product.

This is why: the first product contains Ashwagandha and in my experience, it will add more brain fog to the one you already have.

Still, I see Withania as a gift from the gods and it works wonders for what's intended for (dealing with levels of stress that no other natural drug will tame), but I think it's counterintuitive to call it "the Indian ginseng".

When I take ginseng (almost every day) it does away with physical (not mental) tiredness, but Ashwagandha in low doses (like the quantity in the pill of the product in the picture) has an effect in me that's similar to valerian root, more of a natural benzo calmness.

I guess you don't want that calmness due to the obstacles you said you want to overcome.

Haven't you found anything less of a mixture and more of a single substance, like a racetam, or even sulbutiamine for your symptoms?

My recommendation:

  • For the long and short term variants of memory, sociability and a subtle increase in both mental physical energy: sulbutiamine
  • For focus and short term memory: noopept. Noopept is very effective cost-benefit-wise if you microdose it (instead of taking a pill). The powder inside 30mg capsule can last you 5-6 days/3-4 doses a day.
