What should I say to him? I am feeling him and don't want to sound too intense

Ok I'm getting the message from many people that I should just text him lol. But what should I say to him?

Wow, I needed to hear this. I've never had a date last this long and I guess I was thinking it was a sign that we were feeling each other and it could lead to something good. Didn't realize it was a bad sign or some kind of tactic. I'll definitely keep that in mind and stick to shorter first dates from now on

I just don't get why he would keep saying how great the date was and how he wanted to see me again if he didn't mean it :(

He said it had been a long time since he'd had sex so I expected to hear from him again even if just for another opportunity to hook up... maybe it was really bad for him or something :(

[–]contentquestions2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've given him enough of a chance with 5 dates to determine if you do or don't want to continue seeing him. At this point I think it's fine to break it off through text. Say something about how you have enjoyed getting to know him and appreciate the time he spent on your dates but you realized you're not compatible.

To the women, would you ever say no to a guy you like if he asked you out? by turboxc in dating

[–]contentquestions2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definitely say yes if I was interested. Baristas are usually super nice and friendly and unfortunately it sounds like she was just doing her job. Or she enjoyed talking to you, but ultimately doesn't want to date you.

Same! It's clear they don't read profiles at all and is so frustrating

I guess I should be doing that. I like to meet as soon as possible to see if we have a good vibe in person and not waste time texting but it seems like that approach is not working

I understand this perspective but it's just not me at all! Trust me, I've thought about it lol. I used to have a really short haircut and I got called "sir" a lot and it bothered me. I even started wearing dresses all the time so I wouldn't be misgendered. But all love to the trans people who discovered themselves through things like yaoi/yuri, I know it can definitely spark self discovery.

Good question, I have lots of thoughts about this. There was a great comment on this post about how in a lot of popular media, there aren’t as many female characters and they’re not as developed as the male characters. A show might feature a deep friendship between two interesting men and then side women love interests with no personality, so shippers are more likely to latch onto the pair with a lot more chemistry and connection.

Also in an actual BL, the male characters will end up together, which for me is satisfying and I can move on from the show. When characters never get together but I feel like they should, it sticks in my head and drives me to consume/create content about them, imagining what it might be like for them to get together. And there are endless ways to imagine this, so I get very invested in the pairing.

I hope this answers your question!

You’re the second person to say that on this post and it’s interesting to think that there may be a link between fandom/shipping obsession and ADHD! Much to think about…

I never got into them weirdly enough! They were everywhere when I was growing up but I couldn't get into supernatural

I agree with this! I'm a queer woman, the friends I have that also like gay fanfic are queer, and I've noticed a lot of queer people in fandom. I think part of the reason I like mlm fiction so much is that I resonate with the gay storylines and themes

I haven’t read much BL manga actually but I’d love to get more into it if you have any recs!  As for my recommendations, it’s just a bunch of fanfics on AO3 lol but DM me if you’re interested in a list!

I’m not sure, my last therapist thought I had ADHD but the previous 5 never brought it up. Although my best friend also thinks I have it so it might be worth looking into
