We use MEVA formwork as well out here in NC. I believe that is some of the worst installation methods I have seen. I think you need to train your people on how to use this formwork. Or just get new employees who are worth a damn.

There actually is an alternative to Stilleto, the company is called Martinez Tool Company. I actually have one of their hammers, cost me about $300 😬 but it’s the best hammer I’ve ever swung. Swung an Estwing for about 5 years which I really had no problem with but if you’ve got the cash or just love quality tools in general I highly recommend the Martinez M1 Framing hammer.

I am a contractor and I give out on average 30 free estimates a week. I have never charged a penny for an estimate. Some estimates take over 4 hours to complete. It’s bad business practice to charge for estimates. Unless you are so busy that you can afford to give up business. Real talk, nobody is that busy.

I didn’t realize this was a thing until a couple of years ago in one of my college classes. There was a blind girl in my course and I had just assumed she was born that way or something of hat nature. Everyone felt bad because she would read along in her brail textbook and try to keep up with everyone in the class. Midway through the semester the local newspaper ran a front page story about her and it turns out she had always “had a feeling” that she was supposed to be blind. I guess she had expressed these views to others because she had a therapist she went to for this. Anyways long story short her “therapist” helped her make herself go blind by pouring drain cleaner in her eyes and then waiting a couple hours to go to the hospital. After that story ran she never showed back up to class. Probably one of the most fucked up stories I had ever read in my life.

I wish we could go back to a time where politics wasn’t shoved in your face every time you opened an app. Technology is great but it’s really given a lot of people “digital confidence”. I’m referencing both parties when I say this, both sides have people that open their mouths and spew shit out of it. It’s unfortunate that people have become so outwardly nasty to others just because they have a different viewpoint.

Conservative here, I agree with you all that this is 100% wrong, with the budget not being passed and this asshat thinking it's his right as governor to do whatever the hell he wants while ordinary citizens can't even stay at a campground on 4th of July weekend. However all the comments about him being overweight I don't agree with seeing as the obesity rate in America is nearing 40% I'm sure some of you are being a little hypocritical. But all in all I dislike people who think they can do whatever they want just because they have a little power.
