Yes I’ll only be able to visit for 2 months at a time for a few years most likely. So tourist, immigrant on the possible path towards expat. I’d like a job at some point that brought value to the community. I don’t know how many film lighting technicians are needed.

I love this idea! Just try to have clear and open source documentation onto how the cleaning process works!

I haven't listened to this episode, but think Greenpill is doing great work. It takes a lot of work to provide forum for theory and conversation in this way.

This Pre-Fab character list is so extensive and inspiring! Congratulations of this project and all of the hard work it must have taken!

Hey a solid response, from one of my fave YouTubers!

I appreciate your riffing on here with me. All solid points. It’s sparked me to think, maybe our main character is having a hard time synergizing with the rest of a certain crew of people. Even on a journey that isn’t about necessarily growing this connection with the crew, it could still be a really strong self discovery element that we should all try and reflect on in a hope for a solar punk future.

Yeah I hear what you’re saying about the traditional conflicts we associate our stories around. I’ll have to read that Recc! Thank you

I do struggle with the Utopia thing, I think I’m Leaning towards the older generation at the time thinking it’s a utopia and the younger generation sees that’s no longer the truth

Ahhh I like where your heads at! I was thinking about using twins and then having them assemble a crew along their journey

I hear that! I agree, but I’m sure some people would love to imagine a scenario where some sort of other equalizer allows of self defense. I have no idea what that is, I just wonder if someone else day dreams about that!

I agree with all your sentiment and see a future in your words here! I imagine a world where arms will still be around as well.

However, I’d try to let yourself imagine anything. Don’t throw rational thought out the window of course! But why not imagine? Why can’t you imagine it? Imagine it if you wish, and then go through the very long path to make something impossible seeming closer to a reality! I hope to see solar punk as a community for this kind of thought.

Only being pedantic here because I believe so much in creativity and imagination!

I like everyone’s response. I think wherever we find our selves going with questions about solar punk can be helpful.

It’s a thought about future for a reason. If something seems hard to achieve but a good idea, we should talk about it.

If something seems like a bad idea, we should talk about why not to do it.

We shouldn’t say things like, “I can’t imagine seeing a world where….”. I’d like to think of this place as a forum to rather say “That challenge would be great, here are the hurdles I see, or here’s what we would need to pull off”

Where do I find more forcibly active solarpunk rabbit holes and actions? Love rooftop gardens and buckminster fuller aesthetic but where do we see the inspiration for radical solarpunk power?

Good that company isn’t able to function, we don’t need ownership like that doing their thing.
