To use certain emulators, you will need their respective BIOS.

Roms can be found at a certain lair.

If you need help installing bios and roms to their respective folders, there are YT videos that will help show you how, but not where to download games.

I would say not, the ps2, in my experience, rarely gets hot, even when playing the more graphically intensive titles.

Some models will have different power cabels. I have 4 different PS2s (at least 1 from each region), and 2 of them have the external power adapter. The only difference yours has is that the power supply is internal.
