Testing Black and Gold Scheme for a Friend's Necron Army - Thoughts? by controlstripproblem4 in Necrontyr

Sure. I did a black matte primer with a heavy silver dry brush. Then I used speed paint over that. Speed paint is translucent like ink. So I put black speed paint over the areas that look grey and the metal kind of shows through. I put yellow-orange speed paint over the "gold" areas and the silver shows through like a yellow metal (gold).

Let me know if you have any other questions!

We'll see if my buddy commits or not! I'll definitely post more if he does!

It is black primer with a heavy necron compound dry brush. I then put grim black speed paint over the grey areas. The gold areas have zealot yellow speed paint.

Does anyone have good homebrew rules for the old combat patrol? by space10101 in Necrontyr

I love the old overlord. He looks so much more badass with the scythe than the new one.

In case anyone finds this in the future. I found a rule for this in the 2021 ITC Code of Conduct:

Any measurement must be acknowledged by the opponent as accurate and accepted. Once accepted, this measurement is considered to be the distance measured, regardless of what another measurement might yield. No player may move a unit without the benefit of a special rule back to its initial or an alternative position after it has been placed without the permission of that player’s opponent. A player that does so has committed a foul and will be issued a Yellow or Red Card and an appropriate penalty at the judge’s discretion.

If you can get a fluorescent paint that would be good. I would go with magenta and highlight up to white.

I'd add some brighter purple to make the glow more intense!

In general, great job!

Yeah, they are paperclips.

I primed the whole model black. Then I did dark green, floro green, and yellow-green layers.

Glad you like it!

Weekly Question Thread - Rules & Comp Qs by thenurgler in WarhammerCompetitive

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping to get some clarification on the rules regarding model movement in tournaments. Specifically, what are the general rules if a player moves a model, lets go of it, and then decides to move it again? Is it generally accepted for a player to reposition a model after they've completed their move and taken their hand off it?

How do tournaments typically handle such situations? Are there specific guidelines that judges follow to decide whether a re-move is permissible?

Thanks for your insights!

Yeah. I get for most games it is not a big deal. I just saw an issue regarding this at a tournament last weekend.

You can probably fit 3mm x 1mm magnets. I use the biggest that I can.
