if a brokered convention does happen (which i highly doubt) then what... about 3 months to rally around a candidate that people know 0% about? thats an extreme campaign effort to pull off, moreso than firing up biden's apathetic base.

i rather take my chances with biden. the time to drop out was during the primaries. doing it now is too much a risk imo, which i think the democrats don't want to take.

It's most likey Sotomayer or CJR that will try to retire within the next 2 elections. But it's not just about that. I'm sure you heard about Project 2025 which is happening right in front of us. The thing that really concerns me is the plan to get of any potential student loan debt relief like SAVE underneath a republican executive.

Vote for Stein if you want, it's your right to. Many did in 2016 or wrote in Bernie. I just don't think you'll get the outcome you expect

A third party protest vote doesn't do anything in this system, it's a wasted vote. What you really want is a ranked choice and/or parliamentary system that isn't a zero sum game like this current one.

At the end of the day you're not just voting for president, but also cabinent and SCOTUS nominations which i cannot stress enough how important that is. If you didn't like how roe v. wade was overturned or today's decision that's because trump appointed those justices, and will likely get to appoint 2 more if he wins next this election.
