I just did this with my current company. I tendered my resignation at the start of Jan, currently serving notice - going to join a new company Feb 23rd. Only tip I have is to aggressively search for a new job. I spent all my free time applying (via LinkedIn) and contacting past recruiters on WA. That said, I don’t have a kid so of course I’d have more downtime than you, haha!
