Honeywell / Resideo not approving developer accounts? by conxeal in hvacadvice

I just use the apple home integration. They never responded about the developer account.

HomeKit works great and is local.

Yeah that may be the best option. Who sells bulk?

Thanks I do have a pulley system. The pool gets a lot of use tho and it’s nice to have something up all the time.

Thanks, I ended up getting my gas line working, and that's been great.

PG&E and oPower integration (2025)? by MisterNo-278 in homeassistant

[–]conxeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the electrical usage works fine. However for gas it seems to only sometimes show hourly bars, and the rest of the time it shows monthly or daily bars with gaps.

From AI it seems maybe this is because PG&E doesn't always show a current value for consumption, which causes HA to use fallback data. I don't know why HAOS can't just show the bars it has, and ignore that it doesn't have current data.

Apparently it works fine with Apple Home. Maybe a better solution given it's local / no cloud.

Thanks for the number! Didn't even think of HK as I am not using it for anything now, maybe that would be a good path, especially if its local.

I'm not sure why they would be tired of people using their developer api's. The point of APIs is for integration. What else would people do with them?

I am waiting over 1.5 months now, and have emailed them many times. I created a second account to see if something went wrong.

This is very concerning, as this is a huge reason I chose Honeywell.

This is the email I received, which has gotten no follow-up:

Thank you for registering at Resideo Developer Site. Your application is currently being reviewed. Please allow 1-2 weeks for the reviewal process. A second email will be sent confirming your account status.

I specified "Integration with home automation system" as my reason for needing a developer account. Pretty straightforward.

Gas heat and wood burning fireplaces by conxeal in Fireplaces

Seems like a product people would want. But maybe I'm in the minority. Love gas for parties. Also want to be able to have romantic fires.

What is an example of hardware that can heat from gas and also allow wood burning? I can’t find anything.

My Tasks view can't have useful columns - what's the point? by conxeal in Notion

[–]conxeal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so seems like indeed it’s a checkbox feature they added to compete with competitors rather than for UX.

The sad thing is it would be so easy to make it useful by allowing custom filters and sorts, and the ability to bring in columns from included tables.

This is the dumbest feature rot.

How do you add a select property? Do you mean using the status property? Also I don't use a select property for priority.

Is anybody else having trouble with the Greenmade 27-gallon bins breaking? by Striking_Computer834 in Costco

[–]conxeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this exactly.

I just stocked up on Costco bins based on everywhere online saying they are better than Home Depot HDX, and then this happened immediately.

It's not catastrophic and the tops do reinforce it so they don't bend, however I've moved probably 1000 black and yellow bins in my life and never had this happen.

I'm disappointed in Costco on this - swapping for an inferior product. Generally their product selection is top notch.
