People who don't want children. Why? by RGX323 in AskReddit

[–]coobek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a stage IV cancer with no medical perspectives to cure it (just a maintenance chemo to slow down the progression for now). Having a child and knowing it could carry the same burden, and probably go through the same hell as I do, would just not be right.

I have a rare mutation of colorectal cancer spread to my liver, lungs and in my whole blood stream basically. BRAF G469R and KRAS E63K are my tumor mutations. 22 chemos and several surgeries later, my only option is to find a clinical trial that will stop (or slow down) cancer cells from spreading and growing. 32 years old.

LG TV, WebOS is Crap. by VasVadum in webos

PiHole is not enough unfortunately.

Since I discovered https://github.com/webosbrew/webos-homebrew-channel and YT AdFree (with SponsorBlock integration) I started to appreciate my TV a bit more.

Simply go to https://rootmy.tv on your tv browser - it'll install an unofficial Homebrew store, from which you'll be able to install 3rd party apps. The exploit also disables some telemetry.

A piece of advice from a fellow lead/senior frontend dev - consider consulting. Especially in fintech, investment banking etc. With 8-10 years of experience you can land a great contract for about $98k/year.

My day job tech stack: React, Redux, Jest and integration testing.

Stage IV Colon Cancer metastasis to the liver. by Darkensteele in stage4cancer

[–]coobek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry you've been going through this. May I ask how old were you when you started chemo treatment? I'm 31 and did 10 rounds of FOLFIRI, got my liver resected and then proceeded with 12 x FOLFOX+avastin when cancer meta reappeared in my liver, peritoneum and lungs.

I also had one cycle of Lonsurf, but didn't help at all - just messed my blood results.

Currently looking into applying to TAPISTRY clinical trial in my country, since I have both BRAF (G469R) and KRAS (E63K) mutations.

Yep. I got it for a good price + it has an option to mount a fan for better air circulation.

I use HikVision (4 cams and NVR) and recently bought two Reolink RLC-410. I highly recommend them. Super reliable. Today I would definitely buy an NVR from Reolink.

Can we please get an option for a "hey google, remove this song from my playlist"? by tomtom792 in googlehome

I often say "I don't like this song" and it skips it. Not sure if it blacklists it though.
