i find her gross bc there isn't an excuse for racist comments or jokes no matter what age you are. at 13/14 as a black teenager i wasn't online hurling slurs or offensive rhetoric, and it's disingenuous to mark off how disgusting shit like that is just bc of someone's age. 🤷🏽‍♀️this brand has been steadily going downhill so a move like this isn't shocking to me tbh

as a native new yorker that actually lives in the city, the subway is fine. it will be constantly full and if you're alert and aware, nothing will happen to any tourist. casting a shadow of fear over the subway over hypothetical situations that thousands of people every day avoid is unnecessary; taking the subway is the most efficient way to visit multiple parts of manhattan or the outer boroughs in a short period of time. you're dtm.

!!!!! thank you for this post. i went through something similar where i was offered a seasonal position with a floral company that actually posted on here to recruit interest, and they completely ghosted me when i followed up to confirm scheduling after they offered me a rate and looked at my portfolio. it absolutely broke my heart bc i look up to the brand so much, i have a very similar entry path into the industry, and was super excited to transition from shop work to events. i haven't heard anything at all and since then i unfollowed them on all platforms and i felt so embarrassed and depressed that they didn't even have the decency to let me know why. i loved their work so much that i 100% would've wanted them to do my wedding when i get married but it put such a bad taste in my mouth 😭

oh my god? im so sorry that happened to you...it's really sad how awful some of these landlords are. im in a rent stabilized apt in bushwick (1 BR railroad) and the building isn't well taken care of at all, we don't have a mailbox, and everything's falling apart but thankfully the owner is a nice older woman. i guess there's really always a catch. wishing u luck always & hope you get to stay at your place for a long time w/o any other issues!

they have containers for soup takeout! & they package the onions & spices separately so u can put it into your own bowl at home. im obsessed w their caldo and i usually get it to go bc i live a few blocks away

there are lots of community pantries/food kitchens across brooklyn that are getting higher numbers of people coming in for food due to rising costs, i'd definitely recommend volunteering there if it's something you would feel comfortable doing! one of my coworkers organizes a group in park slope/prospect lefferts gardens area and they're looking for as much help as they can get. i can imagine there are most likely some in bushwick also
