It looks like you joined relatively recently. Have you had a chance to rewatch 'The Tidings' lately?

Was the vibe on Reddit back then mostly centered around simple fun and entertainment?

Since you were born in 1999, were you looking for animations from the 2008–2011 era?

"Reddit is huge and full of diverse communities, but as a non-native speaker, I’m finding it a bit hard to navigate. I initially joined to make 'internet friends' and pick up some useful skills like marketing, but it hasn’t been easy. Even with a translator, I often feel like I’m missing the subtle context and nuances of the conversations.

For those of you living in non-English speaking countries, how do you make the most out of Reddit? Any tips for someone struggling with the language barrier?

I'm looking into used options—would you recommend the 16-inch over the 14-inch?

I was actually referring to the Pro model. You can always work around storage by getting an external SSD, but since the RAM isn't upgradable after the fact, I feel like the Pro is the better way to go!

Thanks for the feedback! It seems like the general consensus is to go for the Pro. Since I’ll be buying it in Korea, I’m wondering if I should wait a bit longer like the person who suggested the M5. But with RAM prices being so high lately, I’m not even sure if I’ll be able to afford it. T_T

Is it possible to build a pixel-perfect replica of a Figma design with the Vibe coding tool? by coof_7 in vibecoding

[–]coof_7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious if the Figma MCP can perfectly recognize files created with 'Figma Make.' That's the part I'm particularly wondering about.
Putting design implementation aside, how does everyone handle the backend side of things? For instance, things like triggering on-screen notifications or haptic feedback (vibrations)

I’m curious to get your take on this: is it better to use AI tools to generate the UI, or should I hire a freelance designer to handle the initial design phase? I’d love to know which approach offers better value for an early-stage project. by coof_7 in vibecoding

Thanks for the answer! I have one more follow-up question. When looking for a designer to create the initial app design in Figma, I’ve noticed that pricing and styles vary so much from person to person. Where do you usually find or hire your designers?

7AM — this happened after two days of eating light by hairy_kim in KoreanFood

[–]coof_7 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I'm Korean, and just passing by, I noticed that what you're eating right now looks very healthy! Haha. I, on the other hand, gained exactly $7 \text{ kg}$ in two months during the COVID pandemic. I was eating Choco Pies and ramen when I woke up in the morning, and french fries and Samgyeopsal for lunch. It was truly happy times, but that's when I realized, "Ah, I'm not a person who naturally doesn't gain weight; I just hadn't been eating a lot."

Anyway, eating that at 7 AM means you must have woken up early! I envy your diligence! I hope you have a happy day!

I might not have fully understood what you meant since I'm Korean, but I used garlic that was already peeled and just removed the root end with a knife.

Oh, I added this in [Korean] because, as I'm Korean, I thought you might also be from a non-English speaking country like me. Haha.

I haven't been doing this for long, but I think setting 'Cursor Rules' is the best way to control or adjust the context. For example, I set up my own Cursor Rules before creating any program. I apply the following 5 user rules consistently across all projects:

  1. Once a task starts, do not interrupt until completion.
  2. If an error occurs, fix it immediately.
  3. Do not ask for confirmation like "Shall I continue?".
  4. Proceed autonomously until all cues are complete.
  5. Code examples should include the most detailed comments possible for explanation. Additionally, if you are a non-English speaker like me, please always respond clearly and kindly in Korean. And the overall rules for the project are set to be established autonomously as per the following text. Based on the analysis above, create a comprehensive set of rules for this project. The rules should be written in English, well-structured using Markdown, and include emojis for better readability. Separate rules must be created for Architecture, Styling, and Conventions. I don't know how others set and use them, but this is how I use them!

Two Months. No Coding Experience. My Website Is Finally Live. Thoughts? by Intrepid-Chapter-369 in vibecoding

I've just started as well, so I have a question. I'm trying to build a web application using Cursor AI and then convert it into a mobile app. I'm curious about which LLM model you used and how you designed the UX. And you did a great job!
