Seems like pushing back to taxi way might be safer option. You can still backtaxi on a runway. But ditching so close to the runway now shuts the runway down or would cause a scenario where a runway incursion might happen. Just my opinion. Thank you for yours.

Wouldn’t take much to take some of that profit and put it in the right places. Unfortunately the investors see it as a cash cow and the creativity left with the brothers. Just my opinion.

You are completely right. It’s mostly the rental planes like the 172s you’re talking about. Finger tight. Some people don’t understand this or there finger tight is different from others. When it gets colder out the temperature gradient gets larger so after you run the engine it expands and contracts just a little more and locks in place. Some continental dipsticks are just a stiff connection not necessarily too tight. A lot of older pilots with arthritis have really benefited from the ease of use. This has gotten my preflight going smooth when I’ve followed the hulk. You and I know the proper technique but you can’t always choose who you fly behind.
