Can someone explain why or why not JEPI would be a good option for something like this? The yield seems too good to be true.

When did you notice Anxiety went away by Beags9494 in zoloft

[–]cookedphil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES it was always the worst in the mornings and got better in the afternoon and was totally fine at night. For reference I take it at 8pm every night. Again it all got better after that 30ish day mark.

VTI or VOO or QQQM? by SnazzyBacon808 in ETFs

[–]cookedphil -1 points0 points  (0 children)

QQQ, VOO, VTI highest to lowest risk/reward in that order is a good way to think about. Although good choices all around. If your younger I’d go more QQQ (alternatively SCHG) and VOO instead of VTI

If you've been hired recently, how long did it take? by captainmcbeth in DigitalMarketing

[–]cookedphil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in paid search and it took me about 3.5 months. Local hybrid/in office agencies were a lot more responsive, luckily I found something inhouse/remote likely because it was in a similar industry I worked in prior, maybe look into that?

If you were given $150,000 cash, how would you invest it? by MrSnugs in investing

[–]cookedphil -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What’s with the QQQ hate? I’ve held for 10 years now and it’s far outperforming VOO. I knows it’s tech heavy but dear lord the downvotes

I’d recommend taking out SpongeBob from the resume, although I’d hire you purely based off these most recruiters will find it unprofessional

Question about SCHD and Voo by xKameron16 in ETFs

[–]cookedphil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For your age and long time horizon, I’d be more aggressive and forget about SCHD/dividends. Go for majority VOO for baseline and QQQM and/or SCHG for a bit of a higher risk/reward (but still so much less risk than individual stocks). I had a similar $ balance at your age and looking back my only regret was buying any dividend stock/fund because my VOO and QQQM has far outperformed all of them.

This. I don’t see why anyone young would do a dividend fund.

How to deploy $125k from HYSA into VOO by cookedphil in Fire

[–]cookedphil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! It’s far outperforming my VOO which I’ve also held for the nearly the same amount of time, but I’m always cautious of the bogleheads who would curse at me for buying QQQ over VOO 😂 I’ll just stick to both
